Callous | Exploited Ghetto

After his joining with Ostgut Booking in 2015, his contribution to the Ostgut Ton | Zehn compilation and two 12“es on Ben Klock’s Klockworks label, Ukraine-born, now Berlin-based producer and DJ Etapp Kyle debuts on Unterton.

As with his previous releases Etapp Kyle captures his playful, multi-layered Techno endeavours with single-word track titles: Continuum EP starts off with “Opto”, an atmospheric track with fazing bleeps, ensouled synths and subdued claps – a prime example of his great feel for musical detail. “Ahora” builds upon this vibe with more asynchronous drum patterns, well placed drips of melody, distant pulses, mesmerizing pads and hints of rattles amongst other percussion.

The EPs title track “Continuum” is distinctive through its use of industrial hammer jabs and reduced, puzzling synth pads that are counteracted by a more dominant, steady and stubborn kick drum. “Limb” contrasts unconventional pulsating, hypnotic synth tones with sharp claps and snare sounds, and rounds off this 12“ of all new, puristic and futurist Techno, catering as much to the darker corners as to the brightest spots of the dance floor.

RPDC003 features a split EP with our brothers, LPZ, of Asuncíon, Paraguay. P.Lopez, Cosmo Lopez & Octavio comprise the LPZ group and have grounded themselves in Paraguay & South America as the next wave of seasoned brain-melting techno producers.

The A-side showcases two peak time, tripped out, pounding techno cuts from the LPZ group in "Snooze" & "Temp 8", while Rush Plus hits the B-side with more tribal, rhythmically loose analog tracks on "Double Life" & "Working"

All tracks have been tested at warehouse parties in DC & Asuncion, ready for international play.

Fresh from his ‘Vanishing Point single on UK label Hypercolour, A Sagittariun is back on his Elastic Dreams label with the ‘Slightly Ajar’ EP.

As always, A Sagittariun brings an eclectic melting pot of flavours to each of his EPs, blending Detroit techno, ambient house, highly charged electro, dramatic synths and transcendental vibes.  ‘Stingray’ combines future techno beats with apocalyptic bass and melodious keys, with an almost early 1980s synth pop vibe to it, whilst ‘Burning Crystal’ is the kind of introverted and deep ambient electronica that has shaped the two A Sagittariun albums (2013’s ‘Dream Ritual’ and 2016’s ‘Elasticity’).

‘An Infinite Number Of Possibilities’ is relentless, frenetic and funky, as a myriad of warped sounds and riffs flash past the heavy drum work, and ’720 Degrees’ closes the EP with crunchy 808 electro patterns, FM bass and huge melancholic strings straight out of the Derrick May rule book.

A Sagittariun will be performing at the Berghain, Berlin on 26th August, showcasing a new live set before embarking on further dates at the end of the year.

Rat Life is back with more unheard material from the hidden bedroom studios of East Germany. One Day In Metropia - is a project that was active around the year 2008 - operating out of the concrete suburbs of Dresden. Its main focus were live appearances in the citie’s underground electronic music circle. 

Just a few signals of its enormous creative output were published on various sound carriers to this day. So it was time to release some more of this large bulk of data that has been lurking on storage devices for years. Rat Life's operator Credit 00 is proud to be allowed to contribute a remix version to this sonic document.
