This is my submission for Elevate's Obscure Genre Challenge 2019. My genre was "Muzak" which actually isn't a genre. It's actually a brand with distributes "background music". Back ground music is defined as "a mode of musical performance in which the music is not intended to be a primary focus of potential listeners, but it's content, character, and volume level are deliberately chosen to affect behavioral and emotional responses in humans such a concentration, relaxation, distraction, and excitement... Background music is commonly played where there is no audience at all, such as empty hallways and restrooms and fitting rooms. It is also used in artificial space.." by wikipedia. And with this definition I was left confused since I found it very vague. From this, I basically got that background music could be literally anything. It just had to be played at the background of an event or place. But, after getting a little help at the elevate discord, I was sent a bunch of examples of what I could make. And from these I chose this particular youtube mix which I liked the most. I ended up making something I really liked too, so I decided to release it. I hope you like it!
