6 parts: four melodic, plus one voice for drums on a Disting, and a drum voice. One take with post mixing and a little bit of reverb in Reaper.

“Automatic Orchestra” is an audio installation orchestrated by networked machines and people.
For the duration of the Resonate 2015 festival (resonate.io), an orchestra, comprised of 12 PROTOSEQ units, was programmed, equipped and assembled into a networked organism adapted to the site-specific situation.

Quick snippet of something I'm working on, experimenting with "sequences" consisting of LFOs at various speeds quantized and reset each bar. Quite fun when you vary the speed.

The Algorithm

Earlier today I was thinking about a neat trick with the Intellijel Planar Eurorack module. I fed the E355's two LFO's phase shifted 180° to make the motion of the joystick resemble a circle. I then connected the two E350 (both XY and Z to fill the four inputs) to the Planar. Added some modulation via the E102 so the E350's were modulated at different times and I also tuned them in fifths. This trick could also be a form of hocketing the two E350's. An E950, modulated of course, was added for extra thickness.

I Was Once A Seed In My Mothers Womb by Melanie Mercadante/Repool

This track is created with a single axoloti, using only 3 audio modules I created last week and a handfull of modulation sources (lfo's & note/gate sequencers).

The sounds are generated by a single oscillator that uses live ifft to generate and morph the spectral content of it's waveform.
This then goes through a mono delay that has a dual pitchshifter in the feedback path that shifts the looped audio in harmonic ratio's, morphing from one harmonic to the other in a particular sequence.
The result then goes through a pingpong-stereo reverb based on two 4-stage nested allpassed delaylines.
The melody info is generated by a tonnetz-diagram based sequencer.
