Alea:
True to you. Who would have known this would happen in 24 hours? While I was making my way to Koh Phangan, without having any plan as to what I was going to do there except for tanning at the beach, a music producer from Germany composed a track while being on the boat heading to the same island. He ended up arriving at the same hostel as me and after hearing my name at check in, Raphaela, he introduced himself. My name is Raffaele, sweet! He got the bed above me and other then a Russian guy, who checked out the next morning, we were the only travelers there. I like spending time by myself and if it wasn’t for him provoking me by asking me if I was avoiding other travelers this song would not have been written. I could not say yes and had to prove this for myself by going out for a late lunch with him which turned into an afternoon at the beach. We talked about ourselves and life until I told him I liked to sing. He told me about the track he started making at the boat and asked if I ever wrote anything. I didn’t. I was excited by the idea, but unsure if I would be able to. The motivating coach in him gave me the confidence to try which I did, not right away, but in the evening when I was alone. I wrote a poem which took me less than 30 minutes and I couldn’t wait showing him. We decided to spent the next morning at the quiet beach again to work together on what now started to become our track. He got up earlier than me and pretty much finished composing the music in about 2 hours. I guess we both wanted to distract ourselves by being creative, doing what we love in this time where all other tourists returned home and the world was shaken because of the virus. I used the morning to adapt my poem into an actual song lyrics and we decided to try and record it in our empty room. Raffaele rebuild our bunkbed into a true recording studio and then it was up to me. I could not believe I was actually going to sing for a guy I met less than 24 hours ago, using my own words, but apparently he had a way of making me feel secure. If only we had some more time, in a real studio, but we had fun and I am honestly happy with what we created together. The rest of the day we took a break and spent our time in and around the water, making iPhone videos for our music video. Our background, Koh Phangan, was all we needed. We came here, met each other, talked, wrote, composed, recorded, filmed, danced, relaxed and enjoyed and we hope you will too by clicking on the play button of: True to You.

About the Story:


Last year I met the "Lonely Rider" while I was working in a "beach restaurant".


I saw him regularly riding when the weather was good. Everytime I saw him, I thought, such a cool
guy loving what he does. Sometime I will speak to him, I thought.


One day almost at the hottest day of the year, there he was, riding an loving.
My workmates recognize him too, and they made jokes about him, called him show off and judged. 
This was too much for me and I took the opportunity to go straight to him and make my own opinion.
We had a lovely talk, and I was like, what a cool guy he is! 


I told him that I am inspired of him, because he is loving what he does, spreading love.
I thought I would like to take this energy, make a song of it and producing a video with him, and
he agreed after I asked him. 


This is how we starts and how we continue. ★

Easy You and Me

Raffaele Di Bella
was born in Germany to Italian parents. Music has been a part of his daily life since he was little. Even as a young boy he made playlists, burned and shared 
CDs, set the rhythm as a drummer in the school band and in the orchestra. He began to deepen his passion for electronic music as a DJ and Producer.
