"I don't often speak to y'all directly through text as I am now. But I feel this topic requires it. My heart goes out to the innocent family affected by this tragedy. As tragic as it is to discuss such an event and to use such imagery, I have always stood by art that bares all. Art that pushes the boundaries of our understanding of what it truly means to be an American. Granted, while most of the time I didn't agree with Mr. Kirk's political opinions, I can still recognize that his death is a stain on our nation's history. A moment where both sides of the aisle must look down at their feet, pray to their respective god(s), and ask themselves if we've all taken the righteous path. 

I leave no interpretation up to the listener by saying that the mask posted onto Charlie Kirk's face is a symbol of a freedom. A symbol all who are able should adorn when faced with a brutal reality that is actively trying to silence them. In essence, as Americans, we are victims in this terrible bucket of crabs that our leaders have failed to fully expand to our comfort.

We blame each other for each other's short comings. We label those we disagree with as the contributors to our misery, and while in some cases this is true, in most, it isn't. And it is but a symptom of a sickness that rests deep within the soul of America in the 21st century.

If you're still wondering why a person like Kirk could be shot in today's world, then know that this world is the direct lovechild of the world that caused Jonestown, the JFK/MLK Assassinations, & the Watergate Scandal.

America is in pain. 

And it grieves far differently than any other nation I've seen.."
