Diction Uno began his journey as an Emcee at the age of 14 in 1996 in Portland Oregon . He quickly gained a reputation on the house party circuit for being an avid and proficient freestyler with a quick battle wit. Diction Uno moved from rockin local house parties and open mics to releasing his first group(BDK) album in 2000 at the age of 16. In 2003 Diction UNO formed Metro League Records with Serge Severe. The two hit the local show circuit with a vengeance and gained a name for packing dives and controlling crowds. They released 2 albums as Diction & Serge, “Hungry” in 2004 and “Our Purpose” in 2006, before parting to focus on solo endeavors. Diction Uno also released the solo Ep “Storms and Thorns” in 2006. In February 2010 he signed to Taxidermy Records released his debut solo album “Truth Serum”. The album boasts guest appearances by the legendary Killah Priest of (Sunz of Man/Wu-tang Killa Bees), and local stand outs Serge Severe, Night Crawlers, Scotty Del, Tommy Bonez (of Raise the bridges) and more. With production by Pale soul (of Old Dominion), Dj Zone(of Night Crawlers,& Chicharones), Panama Red, Flawless (of Bad Habitat) and more, In 2011 he released "Never say die" as part of the Bad Habitat Anchored Portland Super group “The Gooniez”and shortly later joined Portland super crew Big Bang later known as 
Proper Knocks ( with such notable acts as Dj Zone,Every Body Knows, and Elton Cray among others) featuring on various crew releases such as Dj Zone' s "Heavy bags and long Goodbyes " as well as joining in on a few tours and in Feb. of 2017 released "Tide in, tide out" EP as part of crew side project 7th Deadly before venturing out on his own to found Shoe String Savvy records.
