One year and a half after the huge Oscar Mulero & Umwelt Picture Disc 14, here is a big big release with two new anthems tracks by Ancient Methods on A side and Umwelt on B Side.

El sexto RCB Mixes es de uno de los tótems del techno en España. Angel Molina, en activo desde 1991, es en mi imaginario uno de los primeros djs de la ciudad que yo conocí (a nivel clubber) que alcanzaron una relevancia destacada.

Es un extracto de una hora de su set de Octubre'23 en el Laut. "Techno oscuro, sintético y retorcido, variado y un poco salvaje (el final de la noche)".

-Recuerdo ver flyers donde aparecías como DJ Angel. 
Creo que hasta 1997 no usé el apellido. Fue idea de Ricard Robles (co-director de Sónar y manager mío por entonces). Coincidió con el año en que comencé a trabajar en exclusiva con Advanced Music (agencia gestionada por Sónar). Se hizo con la intención de ofrecer una imagen seria y profesional.

- Recuerdo comprarte discos en La Casa y en Sci-fi. ¿Cuánto tiempo trabajaste allí? 
Aproximadamente 15 años entre las dos, aunque también formé parte de la distribuidora So Dens (posteriormente Red Musical) una temporada.
En Sci-fi, los últimos 5 años Paco Osuna y yo fuimos co-propietarios.

- Hace poco me comentaron que fuiste programador en la sombra de Moog durante años...
Sí, en Moog era el responsable de la programación de las noches 'Wax Sessions', durante aprox. 8 años, pero también asesoraba para otras fechas. Esto lo he hecho de manera regular en los clubs donde he tenido una residencia larga, como The Loft (Razz) o Spunny Bar (sala PIU, Sabadell). El caso de Spunny Bar fui 100% responsable de la programación Techno de los viernes, pero con la ayuda de Miki y Jaume (gracias!) conseguimos que no fuera de dominio público.
También, sin llegar a ser programador, he ejercido de asesor musical (Sónar sería el mejor ejemplo, en bastantes ediciones) y responsable de la contratación de Dj's residentes (Zero en Syndicate, MouseUp aka Absis e Iván Murias en Spunny o Juan B en Moog).
Aunque no me lo preguntas, el motivo por el cual he decidido trabajar en la sombra repetidas veces en mi vida es para evitar posibles conflictos y/o justificar el por qué (o por qué no) de ciertas decisiones. En la actualidad sigo haciéndolo, se trabaja con muchísima más libertad.

- ¿Tres clubes y festivales "importantes" donde hayas actuado? ¿favoritos? ¿Países donde has actuado?
Aunque prácticamente no se sepa, he actuado en todos los continentes excepto en Australia, y la experiencia me ha demostrado que una buena noche se puede dar en cualquier ciudad, club o festival, he aprendido a no mitificar ni generalizar. Como Dj de Techno, obviamente Berlín es LA ciudad, y mis visitas frecuentes a Tresor en el pasado o a Berghain más recientemente serían highlights en mi carrera. Gare de Porto, Laut, Moog y La Industrial Copera también las considero salas imprescindibles. Recientemente he quedado muy satisfecho con mi visita al club Infra (Boston).
Está claro que Sónar encabeza el ranking de festivales, por la confianza depositada y las numerosas ediciones en las que he participado, tanto en Bcn como São Paulo, Tokyo, Seúl, Frankfurt.., aunque como buen amante del Detroit Techno, mi participación en el DEMF (Movement Festival) ocupa un lugar privilegiado. También recuerdo con cariño Le Fest de Túnez, no todos los días se pincha en una antigua mezquita.
Aunque no me guste mirar hacia atrás, no puedo olvidar el trabajo realizado conjuntamente con Diana Ruibal en Argentina durante cerca de una década (especialmente en Buenos Aires), con Sergio Ricciardone (director del festival Club To Club) en Italia, mi paso por clubs emblemáticos como Rex (Paris), Loft (Lausanne), The End (Londres) o Fuse (Bruselas), mis largas residencias en salas como Nitsa o Loft (Barcelona) y Deep (Madrid), o haber formado parte de la rica escena gironina de los 90's /00's.

- Actualmente eres parte de 30D. ¿Cuál es tu cargo?
Por abreviar, A&R. Básicamente me encargo de escuchar y filtrar las demos recibidas, y decidir (siempre junto a Sergio / 30drop) las referencias a editar.

“There Is Nothing Left But The Enjoyment Of Senseless Destruction” is the first deadly plastic bullet from Dead Normal, a Barcelona-based trio fusing harsh electronics with a confrontational punk aesthetic to devastating effect. 
Think: early SPK meets 1990s Whitehouse, distorted Scorn/JFK type skullcrushing beats, a sprinkling of deconstructed Mark Stewart/Tackhead-esque mutant groove and a ferocious dual male/female vocal attack reminiscent of Mark E Smith at his most irascible combined with Crass' Eve Libertine at her most acerbic. Push the levels into the red and you're still only half way close to the unique and original hybrid of Dead Normal's punishing sonic assault. 
Founded in 2016 by Mario (electronics) with Oriol Rosell and Zoë V sharing vocal duties, the members of Dead Normal have a pedigree spanning two decades in the experimental/avant-garde scene, including collaborations with artists such as The New Blockaders and 2nd Gen.

After the huge success of our previous MME909 by Traxx and Npnk, here is a new selection of industrial, post-punk, EBM edits selected and made by Dunkeltier also known as Sneakers DJ (Uncanny Valley, Frigio…). 
Dunkeltier has worked to give a second life to those very obscure tracks and needed to be adjusted. Giving tribute to the defunct artist Kozmonaut on this new extended version of “The Mann”. “Tanzmusik” by Absolute Body Control was originally 1:40 and completely underexploited, we have now a strong solid dance floor killer!
“Saturday Night” by eM (also known as SM Nurse) was originally only released on tape and needed a proper restoration. And some of you will probably recognise the final track “A Dey” but completely remixed by Dunkeltier.

On "Tanzmusik":

I really was kind of shocked nobody did an edit before as this snippet-like killer track from 1987 is a must play.

I was able to stretch 'Tanzmusik' (dance music) from 1:26 min to more than 6 minutes without feeling any boredom while listening. It's not my credits, it's the genius of this classic wave band.

I felt having a good run so I did it in one go.

As the name says i added lot's of phasing which works more than well on the original short synth loop modulation.
So (you'll) have  fun with a 3-band-EQ on your DJ-desk! :)
