Rotterdam-based producer and sound artist Nikos lands on Flippen Bits with his debut EP, encapsulating his ever-evolving live sound in a tripped out four-tracker. 
Playfully layering rhythmic patterns, this textural debut EP takes inspiration from the sounds of techno, dub, bass music, drone, psytrance and morphs it into a trip of a debut outing.

Starting off slow and deep with trippy chugger Critter that delicately explores the spaces between the 6/8 and 4/4 metre, the EP picks up pace rapidly with the swooshing Cilia, a hypnotic techno track with breathy textures.

Nothing To Undo takes us further aspace with its polyrhythmic structures dancing around droney pads, while title track Metaturnal provides the perfect closing of the EP with psychedelic five-and-a-half minutes that continues the polyrhythmic Mantra of the EP with a more minimal approach.

Laura Coch is an unyielding stimulus of harmony, offering a contemporary vision of the magnificent, mesmerizing, and alluring balance that emerges from the combination of analog sounds and drum machines, revitalizing the unalterable dynamic of the underground music scene.

Since her beginnings, she has contributed to the resurgence of electro on dance floors across Mexico with an irreverently creative spirit, futuristic synthesized melodies, and a visual aesthetic rooted in the minimalism of the 2000s. By fusing club sounds from the most delirious and forceful styles with a subtly fervent elegance and a wildly loyal synergy, her work as a DJ translates into a frenzy that unleashes immersive atmospheres in unbridled euphoria and rhythmically percussive, energy-charged patterns.

Currently based in Mexico City, after a prolonged stay in Tijuana and holding a residency at the legendary Club Wherehouse, the frenetic rhythm of her environment, amid the international success of the Mexican scene and an attractive sound curation of local parties, has allowed Laura the space to explore the spirit of her creativity on the fringes of Acid, EBM, Breakbeat, and Techno. Whether through iconic parties like HÖR Berlin, Dance Your Name, Modern Speech, in renowned clubs such as Radio Bar, Fünk Club, and Japan, or on platforms like Radio 28, Mutant Radio, Por Detroit, Tracklistenings among others, she has managed to consolidate her session for Discos Sentimiento as the most viewed video on the Salas Roma YouTube channel.
Laura boldly led an advance of contemporary electro that has openly and explicitly rebelled against conventions by curating a series of broadcasts and mixtapes from Whereabouts, a record label she co-founded in San Diego, California, which simultaneously operated as a radio show and motivated her to establish her most recent and ambitious project, “Global Harmony Traxx.” This label aims to fiercely extend her musical focus worldwide, alongside those who produce some of the boldest tracks in her sets and like-minded enthusiasts. This goal materialized through her debut track "I Feel It" with The Egyptian Lover, released in 2023.
With the energy, style, and attitude that distinguish her, Laura Coch is ready to rediscover her most iconic and wildest facet in 2024, whether "through electronic harmony" curated with Global Harmony Traxx or other platforms aligned with the impetus to remix and reduce to the essential the sonically impenetrable.

Tobias Vanegas, conocido artísticamente como Toby, es un talentoso productor y DJ de Medellín, Colombia. Su incursión en el mundo de la música electrónica comenzó en 2018, cuando se adentró en la vibrante escena de house, electro y techno de su ciudad natal.  
Con el tiempo, Toby ha desarrollado un estilo único que combina ritmos rotos de los años 90, electro y elementos de reggaetón, destacándose por su habilidad para crear atmósferas envolventes y ritmos cautivadores. Su enfoque meticuloso en la percusión y su constante experimentación sonora le han ganado reconocimiento tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.  
Influenciado por la rica cultura del hip hop y el arte del "cratedigging", Toby ha cultivado un profundo interés en el uso de samples en sus producciones. Su fascinación por las máquinas de cinta y los samplers se refleja en su capacidad para reconstruir y recrear sonidos únicos a partir de fragmentos ya existentes.

Tobias Vanegas, known on the music scene as Toby, is a talented producer and DJ from Medellín, Colombia. His journey into the world of electronic music began in 2018, when he immersed himself in the vibrant house, electro, and techno scene of his hometown.  
Over the years, Toby has cultivated a distinctive style that blends 90s breakbeats, electro, and reggaeton elements, standing out for his ability to create captivating atmospheres and immersive rhythms. His meticulous focus on percussion and sound experimentation has earned him recognition both nationally and internationally.  
Inspired by the rich hip hop culture and the art of "cratedigging," Toby developed a deep interest in the use of samples in his productions. His fascination with tape machines and samplers is reflected in his ability to reconstruct and recreate unique sounds from existing sample fragments.

PREMIERE | EKATA - Storm Passing (Alex Jann Schrön Loop Mix)

Die Orakel presents two reinterpretations by Edward of Krautrock excursions – originally recorded by Harmonia and Brian Eno in 1973 and 1976. 

Harmonia is a Krautrock/Kosmische Musik group from Germany – formed as a collaboration of Michael Rother of Neu!, Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Möbius of Cluster 1973. In the same year, the song "Sehr Kosmisch" was released on the band's debut album "Musik von Harmonia". In September 1976 Brian Eno and Harmonia then collaborated and recorded "Atmosphere" at the band's studio in Forst, Germany. However, the song was not released until 1997 as the tape was considered lost for almost twenty years. 

Who would be more suitable to remix original Krautrock material than Gilles Aiken, better known as Edward? Considering his latest productions, Edward mostly works within house and techno templates while echoing Krautrock figures like Connie Plank. He is recognized for producing filigree club tracks that come with a spiritual edge. Over the years, this combination has made him a mainstay of Berlin's White label as well as Weimar's esteemed Giegling crew.

Die Orakel is a Frankfurt based music platform run by Oliver Hafenbauer.

Die Orakel (Engl. the oracles) might not know it all but has the capacity to observe and sense it: Oliver Hafenbauer's imprint operates as an experimental field for electronic music on the playfully indecisive end where it exceeds genre-specificity to focus on tunes that function beyond. This is not to say that there are no four-to-the-floor productions. The Frankfurt-based label features contributions by artists like Reptant, Poly Chain, Edward, Roman Flügel, upsammy or O-Wells, all known as dance floor doyens. The releases yet encompass what can slip the attention on a traditional dance label. Uplifting and downtempo appear here as two categories that do not exclude each other. The visual representation of the venture is undertaken by Stefan Haag and label boss Oliver Hafenbauer himself, who have a clear approach to communicating Die Orakel’s standards.
