The way I perceive the word ‘fog’ is like feeling blurry and zoned out, like not being able to process all that’s happening around- or within yourself. With this set I try finding peace with this blurriness and to embrace my inner-fog.

The DJ set I played at the Birdcage party at Filmcafé Utrecht. 
A deep and ambient start, followed by some downtempo and wavey techno, slowling evolving into deep, broken beats. All of this is filled with quite some acid and numerous bleeps and bloops. 
I put this all together in a 1 hour slot, and played it in the range of 118-120BPM. Way more downtempo than usual so I was a bit nervous at start but in the end it all came out very nice. Enjoy!

Straight outta Amersfoort! Diede is mostly known as one of the founders of Nachtwerk. Before Corona he played events like Soenda Indoor and Faust in South Korea. His track selection and style is right in our alley and we are very happy to have him on the 7th episode of our podcast.

Our guests for the 8th set in our series are two of Amersfoort finest. @Hylko-smit and @Die_de are well-known faces in the creatively booming city and well beyond. Both are heavily invested in the scene; playing shows, organizing events (Nachtwerk./ HAUSE), and even starting a label (S.O.A.P./ @user-505195555 ). 

For our series of musical adventures, they've recorded a trip full of four to the flour bangers. It is a raw capture of one of their hazy late night afterparties. Ranging from deep techno to trippy acid, maintaining that stomping flow. This one hits hard, enjoy the ride!

Complot Series 008 - Hyl & DIEDE

One year ago I got the chance to hit the sweet spot at the infamous club Faust in Seoul, South Korea. A 2,5 hour set that, by the time, felt like 30 minutes. My first ever international gig and, without knowing at the time, this gig would be one of my last serious gigs before the whole world would shut down everything from clubs, festivals and bars to shopping streets, schools and gyms. In this past year I've made some serious improvements when it comes to mixing, track selection and style development, this all is due to a lot of practice, and a lot of digging deep. I'm looking back at this set from a point of view where I find myself to become more and more serious, dedicated and motivated to try and make a living out of this in the end. 
For now enjoy this set, and let us all pray for better days to come when it comes to partying, travelling and social contact. ;)

As we spend most of our time at home we are delighted with DIEDE’s long and energetic SALON podcast. The founder of Nachtwerk based in Amersfoort, is rapidly building his way as an artist. His talent is not only recognized in the Netherlands as he played his first international gig in 2019 in Seoul’s infamous club Faust.

Besides his development as a musician, he also puts a lot of time into training his spirit through meditation which is noticeable in the way he selects his tracks and constructs his sets. This well-sorted balance makes the podcast very comfortable for the mind and body.
