Cooking study. Generative shamanic music for two percussions (a metal oven dish, and a pan lid). By the way, a modest evocation of Z'ev, a pioneer born seven decades ago. Two sounds recorded by the labtop mics, twenty-four lines of improvisation simulation, forty seconds of calculation, but no dish was finally tasted.

Etude de cuisine. Musique shamanique générative pour deux percussions (un plat metallique de four, et un couvercle de casserole). Au passage, modeste évocation de Z'ev, pionnier né il y a sept décenies. Deux sons enregistrés par les micros d'un Mac Book, vingt-quatre lignes de simulation d'improvisation, quarante secondes de calcul, mais aucun plat n'a finalement pu être dégusté.

Z'ev Is In The Kitchen (draft 1)

Generative music based on sounds from a recorder (flute) plus singing voice (player Thibault Viviani), short waves recorded from a radio player in the beginning of the 90's, and a metal plate. 

This is the stereo version of the 8-tracks concert version.
The 8 track version was generated 1 hour before the concert and played for the first time directly in the presence of the public.

The sounds and the generative algorithm were chosen to generate a kind of imaginary shamanic ritual  music.

Generative monophonic track for a virtual analog sequencer

This is the story:

F.M. Einheit is drunk in the studio, listening to an old Cecil Taylor record. When looking for the keys he just lost, he finally finds an old analog sequencer set with a forgotten 5/4 sequence after Bon Harris tried something different decades ago. Then, of course, Mufti turns the knobs and starts to improvise.

What’s in the kitchen ? : A 60 lines code written in Matlab to emulate a simple F.M. synthesizer and a sequencer, and also to simulate an improvisation.
