Flipping her soft, Beyoncé sampled soother 'Prelude' on its head with a smooth transition into a juke footwork frenzy, is space dweller, Sa'eed. With mermaid hair and a mystical child-like voice, we’ve got our eyes and ears on Israeli producer/singer-songwriter, Adi Ulmansky. Told as a young girl that music was her destiny, she has since collaborated with Borgore, performed with her band Lorena B and last year released her debut solo mixtape, Shit Just Got Real. Having just moved from Tel Aviv to London, the sun shines through her warm electronic music, providing the perfect soundtrack for those hot n hazy days. Khruangbin are the Texas based three-piece that make psychedelic, acid jazz infused Thai funk music. Oh yes. Comprised of Laura Lee, Mark Speer and Donald Johnson, the trio have supported Bonobo across his USA tour and even had a track included in his Late Night Tales mix last year.LNT's artist label Night Time Stories subsequently signed them up, with single 'A Calf Born In Winter' released 19th May and an album in the works. Providing the soundtrack to your dreams and entering i-D's mid-week wind down session for their first ever mix, these are the psychedelic sounds of Khruangbin. Drift off.

"This is our very first mix tape. As such, we wanted to draw on original inspirations to each of us individually in the band, as well as together. In this we pull on Acid Jazz, Gospel, Brazilian Funk and Psych, Thai & Japanese Pop/Rock, "farm rock", Dub, Funk, and R&B to hopefully create a mix that is varied in style yet cohesive in feel. We hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it."

"When I was 17 and (somehow) getting into funky house raves, they'd play an Afrobeats set at the end and it was always just the cherry on top! Tracks like 'Premier Gaou' were always a given and no matter your musical preference, everyone and I mean EVERYONE danced along. My sister constantly has it on at home day in day out, and it's the only type of music my mum has no issue with being played EXTRA loud. You can't help but shake your shoulders, tap your foot or do a little bit of a cheeky whine whenever you hear Afrobeats, it's so infectious! The aim of this mix was to project the huge burst of energy I've always gotten from this genre and pass it on to everyone else."

Hello there. 

Besides some other things, on this page I am a composer, producer, music consultant, dj and all-round music fiend. I have been creating soundtracks for commercials, short films, fashion shows etc for about 20 years.
