Reach Out is back after they made a splash with their first release Chazz - Sassy Style and the wonderful edit Red Greg delivered for the crew. Hailing out of Paris and Amsterdam, the misfits fight nails and teeth to bring the disco-dancer quality dancefloor material with a modern take on it. The quest they have set themselves to in particular is one of authenticity and respect by finding and contracting the rights for any tracks they would release. The label would like to give special thanks to Bluey & Dome Records, Peter for Paladin and Mike & Sony Music for their help and trust. This record is thought around 2 settings that the crew members hold to heart: firstly the Day side with groovy tunes that would fit any sunny day dance with friends, secondly the Night side with more cosmic tracks that will put any night dancefloor into a trance!

Time for a slice of steel pan filled jazz funk on Z Records. Dave Lee has reworked and re-tracked the vocals of Bah Sambas’s Save Our Freedom with a deft touch. Behind its summery, feel good exterior, this song deals with the important issue of the recent erosion of civil liberties and how we the people must not let governments sneak past restrictive laws that repeal hard fought for rights to protest, strike, and get paid a minimum wage. These mindful lyrics are set to an uplifting steel drum filled Caribbean disco groove with real drums, brass, and a full live band sound. If you could capture the audio equivalent of the sunshine glistening off the water as you dance in the heat, this is what you would end up with.

On the ‘Original Vibe’ mix Dave draws out the thunderous steel drums before the joyful brass sections dance over the silky vocals of Vanessa Haynes and ethereal synth tones. On the flip Dave Lee triple downs on the slap bass factor with his Brit Funk style ‘Let Freedom Reign Mix’. Beefier drums flam under blissed out vocal harmonies as he strips back the arrangement and locks in the groove, firmly planting your feet on the dancefloor with an unstoppable bass guitar riff courtesy of long term bassist partner Julian Crampton.

Lumberjacks in Hell proudly presents its next 12" from the English producer Goshawk, marking his much-anticipated debut on the label. Goshawk brings a solid repertoire of productions characterized by a soulful disco vibe, already showcased in his collaborations with Erik Rico on Atjazz Record Company and Situatism, not to mention his stellar remix for Groovement Inc. - Love and Affection.
This 12" features four tracks that blend soulful boogie with house influences, delivering a fresh and captivating sound. The A1 track, "Loyalty" featuring LYMA, offers a distinct Detroit vibe with a low-slung funky bassline and LYMA's sultry vocals. A2 spotlights Greg Blackmann's powerful vocals over a dynamic piano chop, creating an engaging and energetic groove.
The B-side continues the soulful journey, B2 features LYMA's remix of "1 Up 1 Down," adding her unique touch to the EP.

For the latest release on their Kaninchenbau label, an outlet focused on "sample-based, pseudo-original tracks", Funk District have recruited sometime Scruniversal, DOBRO, SlothBoogie and Moiss Music contributor I Gemin (real name Mike Popov). The Russian producer begins in suitably dusty and woozy fashion on 'Floraison', a lolloping, sample-rich MPC house head-nodder smothered in jazzy Rhodes licks, before working some dewy-eyed, Hammond-heavy soul loops on the gorgeous 'Mercy On Me'. He moves closer to classy disco-house/deep house fusion territory on 'Natural Born 4', while the breezy and sunset-ready 'The Truth' sees him turn a gorgeous cover of a Marvin Gaye conscious soul classic into a jazzy deep house gem.
