It is our honor and pleasure to welcome CLR boss Chris Liebing to Global Vibe Radio, with an exclusive one-hour mix of powerful techno goodness. 

Chris Liebing’s friendly demeanour and beaming smile make him enormously recognisable in the modern electronic music landscape, but it’s the years of passionate dedication to his craft as an artist that have made him synonymous with Techno.

A pioneer of the European contribution to the story of Techno, the Giessen (Germany) born producer and DJ has been active the world over since the 1990s and, at every stage of his career, has helped create a platform for other artists, not to mention the scene in general to flourish. Whether via his long-running CLR imprint, affiliated podcast and club nights, his current radio show AM/FM or his 2020 Alone Together streams and DJs & Beers ‘talk show’, Liebing the curator extends way beyond his DJ sets.

Since 2018’s ‘Burn Slow’ LP on Mute, Liebing’s musical direction has grown to encompass some of his earliest influences. Taking in nascent 80’s electronica, psychedelic melodies and an unmistaken seam of alternative music of the past 40 years, ‘Burn Slow’ and remixes for Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp heralded a new chapter for Liebing that continues in 2021 with the arrival of his ‘Another Day’ LP.

Although now incorporating a wider range of sounds into his work and performances, Liebing has no interest in leaving darkened rooms and dancefloors behind and, with the return of CLR in 2021, we can look forward to more of his unmistakable presence pushing Techno forward for years to come.

A testament to the growth of Adam Beyer’s scene-leading label, Drumcode annual A-Sides Vol.8 is the brand’s biggest yet.

The 25-track strong compilation features standout cuts Beyer has received over the last 12 months, but been unable to find room for in Drumcode’s regular release schedule, such is the volume and high standard of music that’s submitted.

The highlight-rich compilation includes Jamie Jones & Darius Syrossian’s buzzy Drumcode debut ‘Eyes of the Night’, Nicole Moudaber’s first DC release in 5 years with the mesmerizing ‘This Is Us’, Will Clarke’s bass-drenched re-work of Adam Beyer & Bart Skils ‘Your Mind’ and Joey Beltram’s first Drumcode release in 11 years with the retro-tinged ‘Can You Feel It’.

The beloved Alan Fitzpatrick returns to the fold with the searing ‘Heiße Rakete’, alongside label mainstays Layton Giordani, who drops the stirring chord-driven ‘Chrome’ and Wehbba with ‘Mantra’, combining techno classicism with future-focused groove.

There’s a troupe of debutants donning the Drumcode jersey for the first time, including BEC, Shelley Johannson, Anthony Castaldo, Avision, Zimmz, Woo York, SAMA (in a terrific collaboration with Secret Cinema) and Ilija Djokovic, who delivers a shimmering highlight with ‘Aura’, a particular favourite of Beyer’s over the last year. Raxon also debuts on the label after a couple of quality additions to the Truesoul back catalogue.

Exciting young guns Weska and Juliet Fox bring heat to the compilation, while Veerus and Timmo follow up strong DC releases with a repeat dose. Elsewhere faithful contributors Ramon Tapia, Jay Lumen, Luca Agnelli, Marco Bailey and Mark Reeve craft powerful dancefloor weapons.

Dj abulense nacido en Agosto de 1983, que compagina su pasión por la música electrónica con sus estudios de ingeniería química en Salamanca. Fue durante su estancia en esta ciudad en donde tomó sus primeros contactos con la música techno, decidiendo ponerse detrás de los platos en 2004 gracias a la ayuda de sus amigos más directos. 
Sus gustos musicales están influenciados por artistas como Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Technasia, Oscar Mulero, Dj Pepo, James Ruskin, Pascal F.E.O.S., Joey Beltram, Joris Voorn o Vitalic entre otros. Sus sesiones son muy variadas y muy bien estructuradas, pero se decanta más por un techno alegre y contundente, intercalando también toques oscuros, y en ellas es capaz de transmitir muy buenas sensaciones a sus oyentes. 
A lo largo de su recorrido como dj, Diego Herrero ha pasado por distintos locales, festivales y discotecas de su ciudad y alrededores en donde ha compartido cartel con artistas como su ídolo Ben Sims, Christian Varela, Marco Bailey, Dylan Drazen, Reeko, Takaaki Itoh, Iñigo Kennedy, Pet Duo, Ángel Molina, Mark Williams, Tim Baker … 
Finalmente, en el año 2007 consigue una residencia en “Aixa Galiana”, una de las discotecas más importantes y con mayor proyección de España. Será aquí en donde Diego Herrero ha podido demostrar sus buenas dotes como dj y en donde ha podido compartir cabina y experiencias con los mejores dj’s del mundo. 
Actualmente se dedica de lleno en el mundo de la producción, y su primer track saldrá a la luz en el sello Guilhotina Records (17 de Mayo de 2010) conteniendo un remix del tema "Obstacles" de Anders y compartiendo Release con artistas consagrados como Analogic Voice, Christian Peak, George Privatti, Omega Drive y The Blaaaz. Próximamente sus producciones aparecerán en sellos como Techno Artillery, Keep On Techno, Cannabis Records, NewWorldOrderRecords, Insulated Room Records, Soundwaves Records y muchos más...

Born in Ávila, Spain at August 18th 1983. Diego Herrero began DJing in 2004 and produce music in 2008. Having as influences Ben Sims, Dave Clarke, Technasia, Oscar Mulero, Dj Pepo, Christian Varela, James Ruskin, Pascal F.E.O.S., Joey Beltram, Joris Voorn, Vitalic, he set his style as Funky-Techno and Tribal-Techno.

He played in several clubs, discotheques and festivals in his province and in the surrounding areas. In 2007, he obtains a residence in Aixa Galiana, one of the most important clubs in Spain. Along his experience as a dj he have shared decks with some of the best dj's and producers in the world as Ben Sims, Christian Varela, Marco Bailey, Dylan Drazen, Reeko, Takaaki Itoh, Iñigo Kennedy, Pet Duo, Ángel Molina, Mark Williams, Tim Baker among others.

He is actually completely dedicated to music production, Chemical Engineering college and sporadic appearances as a DJ, and he has released several ep's on some of the best techno labels.
