Lucid Dreaming (03.05.2020)

As a child, Diego spent his free time practising gymnastics and playing the piano. Today he is involved in performance training, holistic wellness and music production.

This search for balance and wellness informs his music, where acoustic scenarios move between essentialism and attention to detail. The arrangements move around a stable core, creating and releasing tension.

Higher State Of Elevation represents Diego Suarez's debut as a producer: a playful and light-hearted approach, achieved with the collaboration of Camillo Corona, whose class shines through in the mixdown.

Following a long phase of sound research and experimentation with field recordings, Diego uses a capture of his vocal improvisation recorded from an old iPhone to present himself naked and sincere. Philosophy Of Desire is mixed by MadMaxim, who beautifully interprets the personal and introspective mood.

From this shared understanding with MadMaxim, a joint project was born, culminating in Ode To The Lobe, the fruit of intense experimentation and millions of micro-decisions.
