DIEGO BROWN PROJECT- LIVE FOR (the Haters Remix)

Diego Brown Project is... different?  It can be said that the celebration of the originality and familiarity, of all people, is D.B.P.'s favorite type of party. (Mr)Arash and C-Rey first met when (Mr)Arash joined a multicultural fraternity that C-Rey had founded while in college.  Later, with the edition of good friend, vocalist/ artist Kat Scott and D.J. Navjeet Sarna, the cypher was complete.  Over time the three have allowed their love for art and culture to manifest into a collective that focused on the creation of art designed to consistently question any cultural status quo. 

    Together the group draw roots and influences from the latin barrios of southern California, war torn cities in the Middle East, the west coast underground hip-hop scene and the galleries of the modern art world. All the while, curating an ever present collaboration with an extremely diverse set of  friends and fellow artists. From hip-hop heavyweights to harvard professors, there is no predicting who D.B.P. will work into their next piece.     

    As the hosts of the popular Crappy Awesome Podcast  the guys are able to consistently research the human condition through the show’s guests and topics. Basing the themes of their work on thoroughly researched topics and opinions, D.B.P. work to push the envelope of what is generally accepted and labeled as art. The group simultaneously uses the show to create a completely transparent relationship with their supporters while spreading the Crappy Awesome mantra of “just do you”.

    Instead of dropping traditional album projects, the group uses hip-hop as a soundtrack to support the visual art that the group creates. Music, video, film, physical and performance art intertwined and presented as a single anthropological idea. 

   The group is currently working on their latest project... #TheAudacity.  Now beat it.
