Ombra INTL 015 continues its course, inviting artists from around the world to contribute their unique take on post-punk and dark 80s inspired sounds to a sound of now. This time, Istanbul's Günce Acı makes her Ombra INTL debut with a powerful wave driven techno track. France/Germany repped by FLVN's new project with Charlie Lumberjack as Blaues Einhorn, Daniel Monaco & Futuristant, Mexico's ALF CHAMPION, and Canada;s Robert E Livingood.

The new "Selección Dura" comes directly from French duo Kimshies. In 2004 they created together "Chicago 72", track that was printed in 500 vinyl copies and it was until May 2018 when the public discovered it during the Solomun's 'Cercle' session. Now they are back and have just released 'Fucked Up Mama', their latest EP on Duro.

Isn't it funny how time flies, yet so little has happened? Does this change our conversations from the exhilarating to the downright dull? A constant and predictable loop of "what have you been up to?" and the equally predictable response of "not much". Yet amidst the elongated slumps in front of the television and the all to frequent lie-ins past midday, creative juices have been overflowing from all corners of the globe, and the results continue to speak for themselves...

Berlin's Ombra International, the ever on point label run by Curses and Fritz Galliani, find themselves coming out the other side of lockdown armed with a variety snack pack of music from across the globe. Dubbed as "powerful music in the fringe of all things WAVE", Ombra's 15th release features contributions via Turkey, Mexico, Italy, France and Canada, from Günce Aci, ALF CHAMPION, Daniel Monaco & Futurist, Blaues Einhorn and Robert E. Livingood, respectively. Our pick, from Blaues Einhorn, the new project of FLVN and Mrs. Charlie Lumberjack recorded during a session in Paris, matches low slung moody guitar riffs with commanding vocals that fuse German and French.

One of the nicest guys in the scene Luca Venezia aka @CursesForever is known for his unique blends of New Wave and Post-Punk with his ghostly vocals and guitars, punctuated with flashes of 80's EBM and New Beat. Whether it's performing live at the late Andrew Weatherall's Convenanza Festival, DJng in the main room at Circoloco DC-10 or indeed his own productions which often exploring the darker side of 80's Italo-disco, he continues to grow legions of new admirers. 

A few years back he launched his own imprint @OmbraInternational and the label soon established itself as a quality outlet for lovers of this unique brand of synth laden, bass guitar inspired electronica. Recently we collaborated with the label and a selection of the Ombra family to support '30 hours for Beirut' with Ballroom Blitz and Palestinian Radio Alhara to raise money for those most affected by recent event in Beirut. Over the course of the coming week we're delighted to share the sets during this radio event via the Sinchi Channel.

Istanbul based Dj/Producer @GunceAci, has been a regular in the Club and festival underground in Istanbul underground since 2014 and more recently playing regularly around Europe. Influenced by Indie-dance, new wave, electronica and EBM.

Her hypnotic pads, sturdy basslines, interrupted beats and absurd melodies meet under the roof of a dark trippy soundscape. She is not believing in genres or to be’s and is a dedicated lover of the irregularities. Her own productions and remixes featuring on labels such as Nein, Esthetique, Dogs&Vultures and of course Ombra Intl.

Factor City is proud to introduce their new signing, Córdoba (Spain) based Durand, and present his new EP, “Exuvia”. Three original tracks followed by a Cabizbajo remix.
Durand has been connected to electronic music from a very young age, developing an extensive career as a dj and club promoter and owner before starting to produce his own music only a couple of years ago. In this time he has already released two excellent eps on Nein records and one on Esthetique, played by the likes of The Hacker, Ivan Smagghe or Curses.
For his debut on Factor City he delivers three slices of cosmic dark disco, with powerful modulating basslines, sleazy synth lines and infectious rythms and percussion. Timeless club music with different influences fused to dance and feel the trip at the same time.
On remix duties we find Cabizbajo. The mexican producer is in full shape as he shows in his fiery take on “Crisálida”. An stripped down, hypnotic and percutive “PseudoDub” version ready to kill any  virus.
