Gesellschaftliche Erwartungen is back with a special duo from Zurich called @cocofresco! Their infamous DJ sets are an eclectic overture of fine selected Italo, (Swiss) Disco and obscure sounds of the past and the future. Fitting my needs of happiness in this strange times of senseless violence. Coco Fresco refers not only to a tropical juice, it is that sweet melody rinsing down your ear, while enjoying the  bitterness of a clashing society. Stay fresh - stay strong.

Sophie is part of the P.P. family and has her residency „Pferdestärken“ at Radio80000 in Munich and at Radio Tempo Não Pára, an online radio station based in the North of Amsterdam. Musically she moves between different genres, with a deep affinity for emotional, atmospheric and synth sounds.

For Episode No. 32, we are thrilled to present none other than DJ Peacock and Ahmed.sky. 

DJ Peacock, aka Pieter Kock, is a driving force behind Berlin’s legendary Otannenbaum, a place for true music lovers to hang out, come together and celebrate. Also, being a gifted musician, he has produced several masterpieces that do not shy away from bending styles and conventions. His latest albums on the R.i.O. and Moonwalk labels prove the case in point.

Joining him for our show is Ahmed.sky. Part of the Paris-based collective Soucoupe, which hosts the fantastic show Strange How You Move on DIA! Radio. A true seeker of obscure sounds full of quirkiness, heartwarming folklore and tape hiss. His recording certainly reflects what we call a holistic trip! 

Tune in for a culmination of profound sonic explorations, and feel free to stay dwelling in the astral plane. Thank you all!

When it still was warm and the days were long, I spent a wonderful weekend at the Braille Satellite festival in Lithuania. A small group of fine visitors got to see a huge and mega interesting line-up of artists. One of them was smetana. She played a set that impressed me right from the start with its dense and intense nature. Long playful but concrete tracks paired with a lot of energy. My evening found another highlight there and still brings me only good memories of this festival! Now her is her contribution for my show! 

A thousand thanks to smetana for putting this together! And also a big thank you to everyone organising Braille Satellite with its inspiring line up! Have fun listening.

Ahead of his new Bright Bars From The Stars album, out on Meakusma at the end of May, DJ Peacock, aka Pieter Kock, presents a one-hour mix for the Meakusma Show on LYL Radio. Pieter is one of the founding and guiding souls behind the Berlin-based bar and micro club O Tannenbaum. Musically active since 1986 as a singer, guitarist, drummer, and noise musician, he has released music under his own name and a variety of different aliases and different shapes.

This one-hour mix lifts the veil a bit on the vast amount of influences Pieter has as a DJ and musician. He is a versatile chronicler of the night, with different moods and modes referencing the past and the future alike. Cosmic, sentimental, pop, avant-garde, and industrial, cocktail bars of a dystopian future, beware!
