Slowed it down for my learning and soon I will be able to play it correctly at the slowed down speed.

Also removed bends and removed a few notes to make the scale easier to play and eventually I will be able to play it with the bends in it and with the few extra notes back in.

Also discovered the gate feature on my distortion pedal that is frequency dependent, so I set it to reduce all noises that aren't in the high-to-mid range that I found to sound good for this scale.  And discovered the scoop preset feature on my distortion pedal that makes it sound more metal.

No amps were harmed in the making of this. I used the Pro Tools guitar amps.

Cleans are center panned.

Hard rock rhythm is panned right.

Hard rock lead is panned left.


Bassist is center panned.

Breakdown is center panned.

Bridge is center panned.

I recorded 6 tracks total.

Tuning is drop A#.

I used a 6 string guitar with Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups.

I used "clean" guitar amp preset (and turned up the trebel all the way) in Pro Tools with chorus effect and speaker simulator effect for the cleans.

I used compressor effect 3:1     27 db without noise gate effect for the rhythm hard rock track using the "rhythm" guitar amp preset in Pro Tools.

I used compressor  effect 3:1    27 db without noise gate effect for the lead hard rock track using the "Santana" guitar amp preset in Pro Tools.

I used compressor effect 3:1     27 db without noise gate effect for the bassist track using the "rhythm" guitar amp preset in Pro Tools.

I used compressor effect 8:1     12 db with noise gate effect 12 db and amp effect using the "djent1" preset I made in Pro Tools for the breakdown track and the bridge track.

100% from scratch. No backing track at all. I added my own layered guitars reamped with compression and bass drops. All with stereo gain limiter in Pro Tools for a waveform of equal loudness in each channel for the waveform to look like how the professional tracks look.

A compression artifact of using compression, enhancer, and stereo gain limiter is that if you turn the volume up all the way and turn down the bass the higher frequencies make a popping sound. Well, at least for me. I'm not sure how the professionals get rid of that popping noise.

I'm not sure if mp3 compression will make those compression artifacts even worse.

I am testing recording directly from my Orange Micro Terror tube amp to my interface by connecting a dummy load to the speaker jack and connecting the headphone jack to the guitar jack of the interface with the appropriate adapters.

The guitar combined with the backing track is disonant because I now realized that I was intonated to drop A# but the song is supposed to be in drop A.

The program drums were not complete because this is a test.
