Human Synthetics returns to the label for the 8th installment from Dream Schemes. A mixed release with tracks for home or the dancefloor, plus a bonus remix of Leisure Centre from Repertoire’s own Law.

A side - Reality Function - is a dreamy sci-fi fuelled track that almost made an appearance on his first release with us. This one is about what you would expect from HS, tight production, choppy breaks, wavey synth lines, and deep rolling baselines.

B side - Renegade - shows HS turning up the heat a little. While still deep and atmospheric, this one comes packed with well thought out call and response across the bass section, and a second drop that would get people moving in any situation.

Bonus track - Leisure Centre (Law Remix) - sees Law drop in and deliver a stripped back, steppa take, on the much loved Leisure Centre - a track from our first ever release. Perfect for all occasions, this one will spin listeners around with crisp drum programming, hypnotic melody lines, and big bouncy bass.

Laura Totten aka Sage was a worldrenowned drum and bass DJ and Producer (based in SF) from 1997-2004. She retired for 11 years and is now back in 2015!
She is touring the USA from Sept 8th - Oct 17th saying hello to old friends, playing an all original set and adding her own live singing to her set.

Sage is multifaceted composer, musician, producer and DJ. She “tinkers” with plays several musical instruments  (drums, singing & mandolin), “dabbles” with commercial composing, sings in a jazz duo & choirs, and facilitates youth and community workshops in her hometown of Belfast N. Ireland.

In 2001 she formed Phylum Recordings with partner Susie Lee & then DJ partner UFO!. The label released 4 vinyl 12′s including a track from world renowned techno producer John Tejada. She was DC shoes very first female sponsor & a professional fashion model.

In 2004, after continuous DJ gigs (between 1997 and 2004 (Sage toured the world as a DJ playing almost nightly for months at a time) and dealing with the death of her father, Totten took a 11 year break from DJing to investigate an underlying illness as well as nurturing her life with friends and family. She opened herself up to playing and performing many different styles of music over this period.
Sage says she’s perfectly at home being a multi-disciplinary artist rather than limiting her music output to one scene or style.

She writes Tech House and other various genres of EDM under her birth name "Laura Totten" and has releases out on UK Tehno Label "Twisted Recordings". This year (2015) she has releases due out on Belfast DnB Label "Anamorphic" who are featuring other Irish artists such as Calibre & Zero Tolerance.

Next up on 4 Corners Music we welcome back ALB, who helped us launch our first ever release with the single
“Jerry’s Trip/Your Eyes’. ALB has been making waves in the scene with features on UKF, BBC Radio1 &amp; 1xtra as
well as releases on Fokuz, Soulvent, Formation &amp; more so we’re excited to have him back representing 4
Corners. 

For 4CM012 he brings us a 4 track EP entitled ‘Movements’ fresh from the Liquid corner of Drum &amp;
Bass. This release is a Beatport exclusive from 6th May and then available on general release from 20th May
2019.
Starting us off we have ‘About U’, a perfect opening track to the EP that builds beautifully with filtered stabs and a
low slung bassline working together thoughtfully - one for the heads who like the long blends. ‘Way U Do’ is next
up and continuing on with the theme of sublime production featuring harmonies that float and flutter across the
track, dancing in the moonlight whilst a war rages under the scorched earth - definitely bittersweet vibes the order
of the day here. Following that we have the title track ‘Movements’, chopped and spliced pianos adding touches
of magic throughout the track adding a touch of timelessness that will sit nicely in any Drum &amp; Bass set featuring
tracks past, present or future. Finally ALB brings ‘What U Need’, again bringing some magic to this EP with
details sprinkled throughout this track keeping things interesting and ultimately very vibesy indeed.
