Keeping the collective family vibe more than alive, Arkaik has rounded his troops up and put together his third EP for release on his homeland Diffrent Music. Paving the way forward for future releases on the label, we see
a record that show’s off Arkaik’s ability to maintain his exploration as a solo artist while adapting to the modern day art of collaborative production. ‘The Hustle EP’ features four brand new pieces of work that have been heard only a number of times on dancefloors around the UK, and are ready to go out to the masses. The title track is a offbeat stomper with Arkaik’s trademark sound, while ‘Babylon Dub’ see’s a more Hip­Hop orientated style with big bass and clean production. ‘Heat Seeker’ is the second collaboration to surface with Coma, and is a heavy hitting, fast paced dancefloor damager. The final track see’s Arkaik teaming up with Dexta & Mauoq, with a stripped back, big bass, head­nod track called ‘One Last Time’ which develops from a somewhat half time groove into full on 2­step second drop.

The Hustle EP will be released as a limited edition CD available exclusively from 12th May 2014 via the Diffrent Music HQ store (www.shop.diffrentmusic.com). Digital pre­orders from the Diffrent HQ shop will be delivered from 19th May 2014 and the full worldwide ‘official’ release date will be Monday 26th May 2014 on all good digital outlets.

Massl started DJing in 2006 inspired by the dark and heavy sounds of Noisia, Phace, Teebee and Calyx. Since this time he played over a hundred gigs in clubs in Germany and Austria. When he moved to Karlsruhe in 2007 he also arranged several successful parties. A few months later Massl realized that DJing was not enough which resulted in starting to produce own Drum and Bass tracks. He released tracks on known labels like Bad Taste and T!LT recordings.

The Freak Show is an electronic experimental duo, born in Rome and composed of DJ Gazza and the guitarist Paolo Zou. The live experience fuses the energy and power of a DnB set with virtuosity and melodies of the solo guitar, the result is a live mix of progressive rock, jungle & neurofunk that transport the audience to new unconventional sounds and overwhelms it to the rhythm of 170 bpm. 
In Italy The Freak Show has already backed names like Aphrodite, Roni Size, Optiv, Zero Method, Telekinesis, Block Dodger & Dabs. In December 2013 they released their first free download EP "Violet" while the last 12th May was released on the UK label the second EP "Drumberry". The next single "Colombiana" will be released on the indipendent UK label C Recordings.

Weighing in heavy with murderous intent across three guaranteed dance levellers, Trends & Boylan land on Sneaker Social Club with a bang. The pair have been slugging out grime-leaning gear for the past five years, causing a ruckus with their truly evil ‘Norman Bates’ beat, releasing also on Trends own Mean Streets label and linking up with Slimzee’s foundational stable Slimzos for some dubplate action.

They bring that street-level swagger to the tracks on the Ninety Nine EP, but here their punchy 8-bar flex is embellished to blend in with the Sneaker surroundings a treat. ‘Carnage’ tips towards chopped up Think Breaks while ‘Nocturnal’ doubles down on the dirtiest of b-lines. Confirming their allyship from dubplates gone by, Slimzee links up with Trends & Boylan for the double A side slammer, ‘Ninety Nine’, weaving dread-side D&B stabs around a tightly-wound beat with devastating results. Over 10 yrs ago Peter Goebel AKA Arkaik discovered the musical drug DnB. Influenced by Bad Company, Dillinja & Roni Size he then started playing in clubs in & around the UK & producing shortly after. 2008 - Arkaik became a resident for Bassment, Reading, playing with artists like Noisia, Break, Calibre & Icicle. Being influenced by minimal DnB (Data, Spectrasoul & Instra:mental) this sound soon emerged in his production.
2010 - Arkaik first released Stress Relief/Second Bass (DIFF004) on the label Diffrent Music, this would prove to be a landmark moment & the 1st of many releases. Arkaik went on to win the Octane & DLR remix competition hosted by the mighty Dispatch Recordings in early 2012. With support from the likes of Doc Scott, Ant TC1, Chris SU, Mindscape, Ulterior Motive & Need For Mirrors this gave Arkaik a platform to release his first EP on Diffrent Music titled Trauma EP (DIFF011D) shortly after.
