The ep 'Innersense' is an exploration into 4/4 music. Diger Rokwell is back with a sonically adventurous new EP 'Innersense'. Shaped in Berlin last year, Innersense showcases the diverse nature of Rokwell's production and multi-instrumentation. A lover of a theme 'Innersense' features 4, 4/4 inspired tracks all 4.00 minutes long. This audio work harks back to Diger's formulative years of his electronic education whilst pushing into the future.

Take Flight is the first single from a forthcoming psychedelic inspired extended play from Diger Rokwell. The single explodes with home recorded fuzz guitar, crunchy bass, ascending slides and reverb drenched leads, all then blended with hip hop minded electronic wizardry and atmospheric textures.

'Travel To The Outer Reaches' is a psych tinged soundtrack piece inspired by the sounds of David Axelrod and Pink Floyd. All instruments were played by Diger Rokwell (except the drums) Originally made for the upcoming 'Seeds' extend play, but it got lost in deep space and didn't make the cut. 

'Travel To The Outer Reaches' is to celebrate the 'not long to go' stage of new born life approaching, my mother's 70th birthday on Friday, and release information for my upcoming extended play 'Seeds'. I am definitely traveling to the outer reaches into a new world of discovery. Enjoy!

reflects his continued experimentation into multi- instrumentalism. It is one in
a series of extended plays, a sequel to his House music interpretation:
Innersense, focusing on one ‘musical influence’ per release. The series will
culminate in a full album of choice cuts in 2016. ‘Seeds' is a journey: tinged
with hip-hop drums, crunchy percussion, ethereal drone, psych leads and
soaring Sonic’s. Home recorded and mixed with his best-mate Ryan Burge
aka YLEM, mastered by Dave Cooley of Stones Throw fame, ‘Seeds’ reviles
in the crunch of pedals, drenched reverb, and the art of releasing independent
music.

'Go Easy' is forthcoming on new extended 'Sprouts' limited 10" limited edition vinyl and digital download via The Community Records on the 23rd of November. Launching at The Bird on the 11th of December.

Sprouts is an exotic tinged sub-textural beat tape musical focus that is 6 tracks deep. Using samples from all over the world, utilising a variety of synths complimented with sub subtle crunch from field recordings.

The video was filmed with May Bluebell whilst on our many walks and stays at home with our new born baby son. Filmed completely with an I Phone whilst fostering a creative project whilst doing what we need to do.

The video highlights the places we walk, the light and sights we see, the symbols we read, the duality that we encounter, the balance between creativity and duty, the love for the change of season in our local hood whilst introducing Diger Rokwell to the screen for the first time.

This clip is the second in a series of home made clips created by Diger Rokwell and his partner May Bluebell, follow on from the stop motion animation 'Take Flight'

Tahitian Lime Jump is lifed from Diger Rokwell's forthcoming EP 'Sprouts' out digitally via iTUNES and Bandcamp via https://digerrokwell6000.bandcamp.com/ and The Community Records on the 24th of November, and also on limited edition 10 inch vinyl from the 11th of December.

Also, accompanying it is a DIY clip involving hundreds of images photoshopped then animated in a stop motion fashion. It is the next in a series of do-it-yourself Diger Rokwell is creating to accompany his musical journeys.

Roku' is the first track lifted from the forthcoming Diger Rokwell international sample based Beat Tourism installation,'Digpan'.

'Roku' means six, and is the sixth track on the beat tape (all the tracks are named after the Japanese numbers in the order which they appear, entertaining and educational). 'Roku' is a 90s hip hop floor filler with a slight hint of the obscure, and a large dash of fun that you can add to your summer playlist.

'Digpan' is a sample excursion of Japan's 50-100 Yen record bins collected during a trip to Japan in 2014. The source materials were randomly collected, expertly recorded, carefully edited and creatively arranged over a three year period. 'Digpan' is 9 dusty tracks deep, a unique listen and coming soon.

Roku

The second track, literally, lifted from my new forthcoming beat tourism project, Digpan. A sample exploration in the 500-100 Yen record bins of Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, launching on the 18th of January 2019 at The Bird with Henry Kissinger (live) plus DJ sets from Nathan J (Assembly Line) and the queen of the dance, Rok Riley.

Kyuu is the ninth track and closing track on Digpan, and my favourite track. Digpan is launching at The Bird on the 18th of January 2019, and via band camp on that date too. It will be available on iTunes, spotify etc on the 1st of Feb and possibly a limited edition vinyl release early 2019.

The debut single 'Impossible Alps' from the new collaboration between Diger Rokwell and Felicity Groom. 

When the not-so-secret darling of Perthʼs indie scene was surprisingly teamed with the unsung hero of WAʼs beat scene by the Cut and Paste Collaborations curatorial team, you knew instantly that this was destined to be no one off. There was something there, something damn special. 

Being the only WA act to win the WAMi awards for the industry-voted Best Indie/Commercial Pop Act three years in a row, and with the success of the sublime songstressʼ album Gossamer seeing her tour nationally with the likes of Tame Impala, Bob Evans and Little Birdy, Felicity Groom is ready to spread her sounds much further afield with the release of her second Felicity Groom album later this year. 

A chameleon of the Perth creative scene, Diger Rokwell is co-founder of the influential crew The Community, a visual artist of high repute and the producer of a string of outstandingly praised albums and EPs. Winning the WAMi for Electronic Producer Of The Year in 2012 and with various EPs and full lengths in the works- 2013 also looks set to be Rokwellʼs breakout year. 

Who then knows how between their respective triple j and RTRFM-airplay garnering projects the two have managed to prepare a complete album together as Rokwell & Groom that promises to impress and fulfil, but thankfully the release of New Parts is very close indeed. An ethereal mix of sun kissed visuals, haunting vocals, floating synths, crunchy ethno beats and reverb guitar, their sound is ready to first be spread far and wide with their debut single release, Impossible Alps.

Ash Hosken aka Diger Rokwell is an artist that knows no boundary, as represented through the nonlinear output from the Perth based multi instrumentalist and DIY dabbler. With a career that spans over ten releases Diger Rokwell has travelled and sampled the cultures of Cambodia and Sri Lanka, and explored the realms of psych, hip-hop, tropical, Four on the Floor, soul, disco and ‘mind music’ through multi-instrumentation.

On stage he delivers a diverse universe of live and original electronica as a futuristic one­man band. His innovative live performances feature live beat production, mixing and the use of live instruments like no other live act in Australia. 

Diger Rokwell creates music for the mind, soul and your feet. Throughout his career, he has supported the likes of Mndsgn, Peanut Butter Wolf, Pond, Flying Lotus, Gaslamp Killer, Harmonic 313 and People under the Stairs just to name a few to rave reviews. He is a visual artist, he is also a DJ and radio DJ who the hosts Golden Apples of the Sun (Sunday 2-4pm) and El Ritmo (Tuesday 9-11) on RTRFM 92.1 in Perth with his eclectic tastes and selections.
