If Technique’s Spanish connection have flown under your radar so far, here’s your chance to catch up. Now, as the rest of us know, they might be drawing from neuro and tech influences, but producers Alerstorm and Ice Stereo, aka Gradual, have been quietly and methodically evolving their own formula. Not only does this three track EP represent some of Gradual’s most individual and technically advanced work to date but, crucially, it’s free!

First up is Ignis. Right from the intro, Gradual show that they’re creating a template all of their own. They’ve got that tech-sensibility in there, as percussive elements develop and morph. But the strings and chord changes add a touch of euphoria to proceedings. Then the drop, made from a grimy sub, a popping two-step rhythm and sparsely paranoid synth modulations, is tinted with colours straight from the neuro palette. All that, plus the skankers paradise half-time section in the second drop show that these producers are refusing to stay pigeon-holed.

Penguins harks back to the funky techstep we were used to around the turn of the millennium. As the groove emerges from a cloud of reverb, it becomes clear that catchy hooks aren’t just the preserve of jump-up. That militant synth line in the top-end is going to get right inside our minds and stay there. When that’s combined with the precision-tooled drums and speaker-rupturing jabs of bass, this is set to do serious dancefloor damage.

Finally, Space Law comes into effect. This one’s, quite simply, dangerous. The moment you hit play, it’s already building, with synth-pizzicato and rolling toms warning us of the tactical nuke that’s coming. When the kick-build adds it’s weight, the ravers better get set to go in hard. The drop strikes with tectonic sweeps of bass that rip through the low-end and mid-range, supported by those glisteningly-clean drums we’ve come to expect from Gradual. It’s dancefloor technique in action.

So, don’t be fooled by the price tag. It might not cost any money, but there’s nothing cheap about this release. These tunes are mature, assured pieces of D&B production that are bound to cement this duo’s reputation. Better get ready to see a lot more of Gradual in 2017.

Great track with my G @szerodnb with a funny story... We never talked before, we were like "dude your stuff is awesome" "no, YOUR stuff is awesome" and he just send me something, on next scene this track born. Im pretty happy on how did one come up, just a demonstration that music have no boundaries, no rules, just passion.

LUPS  Realiza algunas apariciones como beatboxer en jam sessions mallorquinas y  y mas tarde comienza su trayectoria como dj a finales de 1999 con varias residencias en clubs por toda la isla y colaborando con crews como linea6 -up rockin.. etc .

Ha participado y organizado festivales y eventos de todo tipo mezclando hiphop -funk- broken beats-acid jazz- electro bassline breaks-ragga-jungle dnb y de mas derivados con mucho scratch y mashups en directo- al poco tiempo empieza a formar parte de grupos de hiphop insulares como stadocritiko-vinculo zerrado-lo nuestro-seco-dama blanka-swing & valtonic -scratchafellaz(turnttablist duo con size) Djs r us (turntablist combo con dj Triqui,dj frankbass Entre otros

 A compartido escenario con artistas como doble v- sfdk-hablando en plata-7 notas 7 colores -falsa alarma-juaninaka-nach-juan profundo- duokie–chinatown-sondecalle-sr zambrana-solo los solo-entre otros
 en sus sessiones mas eclepticas sonidos como funk- acidjazz-down tempo–afro beats-nu jazz-uk garage-juke-soulfull house en eventos y exposiciones de arte,terrazas etc-

Sus enfoques van desde lo mas jazzy hasta lo mas transgresor e industrial , en 2002/ 2003 introduce en sus sessiones el jungle-drum and bass jump up-liquid y soulfull dnb siendo un precursor de este genero en la isla de mallorca y apostando por esa escena llevandolo por toda la isla organizando eventos en clubs!!!
Organiza y promueve fiestas legendarias bajo el nombre U.n.i.t.y como Bassfactor ,Back to the Flow dedicadas al jungle drum and bass ,140 Power Party´s dedicadas a bassmusic rodando 140bpm como dubstep-bassline-breaks-bmore .Electro bass-ukg,ukfunky -juke footwork etc
 -En 2006 participo quedando en buen lugar en el campeonato de scratch DMC spain celebrado en madrid- 
A realizado talleres de dj/turntabblism y colaborado en programas de radio insulares y organizando eventos de hiphop . jams y Funky  partys- por otro lado bajo el aka de dj adaptta sets frescos de electro electrotech minimalista -american house-hard techno a colaborado con colectivos como velventine-infinity-ibizaweekend- etc 
–En 2006/2007 Forma parte de el colectivo 16hz con los que siempre activos promueven la escena underground con artistas nacionales e internacionales de la escena drum and bass y dubstep-
en 2008 se adentra en el terreno de la produccion dedicandose de pleno al sonido dubstep-bassline breaks-jungle drum and bass en un sin fin de enfoques musicales - 
en 2014 funda junto a los jovenes Bassmatic y Maxiboom Fast Broken Beats una de las promotoras mas fuertes de la ultima decada dedicada al drum and bass apostando por artistas de primer nivel mundial 

Es uno de los dj mas representativos de la isla, su maleta a pasado por clubs como Bcm-Menta-AssaigEs Gremi-Bullevuart-Perestroika-Babalu-Casino royale-Cultura club -Eclipse(foro de mallorca)-Golf-Royal beach-Art d´co-tocata- asi como en infinidad de festivales – clubs y raves por toda la isla-            
 Fuerza de Mallorca a pasado por Freak y Mini club (valencia)-Zeppelin(castellon)-Positive sound festival totana y  sala 12 y Medio (murcia)  Sala Oxido(guadalajara)  Up Load(bcn)  Loqua (Madrid)  y 1001(londres)                                 ,
