Just something I've knocked together in the past few hours, having had a play about with Serum. I don't usually go in for the whole sound design thing that much, but I came up with the lead patch and everything else fell into place around it. I think I'm going to keep this one. :)

Tetravaal V5 WIP

Frankly I don't know what's going on. I seem to have lost a bunch of my tunes again, but while searching for them, I came across this, which is an MP3 of yet another of the batch I accidentally deleted last year, but it feels a lot more polished, having just listened to it back for the first time in maybe two years. Don't know what to say... having accidentally deleted THREE YEARS worth of work just before my 40th birthday in 2020, I've somehow found the entire lot in the most bizarre of places. This just happens to be an unfinished thing I'd completely forgotten about which I like the sound of. Mixed in dodgy headphones so don't expect much, but I like the pads and melodies. To be continued. :)

Okay, this is the reason why once again I haven't left the room for the entire weekend. Behold, the new version of Show Us Your Growler. Inspired by trying to get something useful out of Serum.  This is a preliminary final arrangement insofar as I've basically just recorded the clips, no final automation done yet or anything. Had major problems with the EQ before and I spent most of yesterday writing the acid parts and various other melodic components before realising it was out of key... anyway. There's still more work to do, but it'll sound along these lines. More variation on the drums, and effects, etc. Quite happy with myself. Will have an EP ready soon, at this rate.

Show Us Your Growler New Version V12.0  - prelmininary final arrangement

Latest iteration. Added some more melodic parts.

Arrangement needs tidying up, some slight variation with the drums etc, and possibly bassline, but all the main parts are now there, and I'm quite happy with how it's sounding. Obviously all the EQ/mastering, as well. I think I may have overdone the compression on the bass, as well.

Played out in Brighton a few weekends ago, and people danced to it. ;)

Digital Fist - Lurker At The Threshold V5.5 WIP

Okay, that'll do me for now. This is version 13. I thought 9 was "done" yesterday. It really is approaching complete now. I dragged some of the automation to some weird place so I might have to go back to an old version, but I've written a completely new bassline which I reckon makes it considerably more funky. 

It's taken me NINETEEN YEARS to finally complete a track. Thanks for listening.

Spiral Dive (v13) WIP - Almost complete

Okay, here's another one I've basically knocked up over the course of today. There are almost certainly EQ issues with some of it clashing but I'm reasonably happy with the basic idea. A bunch of new techniques I'd not used before. Probably needs shaving a few minutes off as well. Once again that's a by-product of tweaking the 303 with mouse and keyboard.

I'll get it tidied up and finished soon, along with the other works in progress. You know, all the usual stuff, and slightly more interesting transitions, etc. I've been working on this for over 12 hours now though, so I'm off for a walk. Enjoy. :D

I seem to have accidentally deleted my entire last year of worth of productions and I'm very upset about it, so I knocked this up this morning in an attempt to cheer myself up. Very work in progress. Quite pleased with what I've got so far, though. Unusually it doesn't have a title yet. I would have picked one by now, under normal circumstances.

Former co-presenter/co-gaffer of Southampton Voice 103.9FM and later Bournemouth Hot 102.8FM's internationally renowned weekly techno show Beyond Control, which persists in the very capable hands of colleague Wayne DJC. Also historically involved with various online shows on NSB Radio and Brap FM, as well as playing guest spots elsewhere (eg Psymusic.co.uk recently).
