Digital Insomnia Recordings presents our 2nd release from Ariel Ortega with his Dark Uplifting and Melodic / Progressive styled EP, titled 'Carpe Diem'.
 
'Carpe Diem EP' is an Uplifting Melodic and Progressive Trance project produced with passion, drive and flare. Both tracks have a very personal meaning for Ariel. In the past few months, Ariel made some big changes in his life, getting a new job, moving away from family. 

"We Have Choices" is a dark progressive style, based on strong basslines, mechanical percussion and deep pads, calm breakdown with some piano progression elements and a very "angry" and powerful drop. Ariel states: "This track reminds me of that phase, we all have to make choices in our lives".

"Tortuga" 

'Tortuga' is Ariel's vision of a dark progressive track with essence of 'Big Room' elements. Ariel's aim was to create a track that is different to other commercial Electronic Dance Music (EDM) 'Big Room' tunes. It is something Ariel really likes to hear it on the dance floor.

Emdi - formerly known as MdK, a representative of the young generation of Polish DJs. Today, Emdi is one of the most colourful figures of the Polish club scene. His perseverance, determination, skills and attitude proved that nothing is impossible; with performances at Global Gathering, Electrocity, enTrance, Epic New Year, Amsterdam Dance Mission, SpyGlass Festival, Sunrise Festival and a main stage appearance at the Polish edition of Trance Around The World with Above & Beyond. 

Emdi has also supported a whole host of known DJ's, such as Hardwell, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sander van Doorn, Chuckie, Above & Beyond, to name a few. In 2013, Emdi marked his presence in the EDM scene as a producer. Emdi's collaboration with Oen Bearen titled: 'Trol' was release on Marcel Wood's Label - Musical Madness. Other productions include remixes of iconic tracks such as: "Riff", "Protect The Innocent", and Emdi's own track 'Hope' released on Infrasonic and  'Lizard' (a collaboration with Krzysztof Chochlow on Digital Insomnia Recordings)

'Monsoon' offers a Progressive 'Mainroom' House feel with the distinctive 'Tone' kick drum and hectic Trancey stabs of modern Dutch style EDM. Leading into a beautiful Progressive melody; once again bringing you back to the hard-core dance floor style. 

The release comes with 2 remixes. First up, Dan Price offering a smoother alternative Progressive Electro House feel. Uplifting melodies carry this track into a hectic electro hitter that keeps your body grooving. 

The Krilliant remix again offer another Progressive House take with a smooth uplifting organ style melody, which then leads into soft breaks, building back with energy and magic moments throughout the track.

Digital Insomnia Groove presents “Hide Love”, written and produced by Thomas Bernaczyk also known as Neurofunq.

Neurofunq is a young and upcoming producer out of Poznan, Poland. His adventures with music began since early childhood where he started off composing his own melodies on his keyboard and then recording his compositions onto cassette tapes.  Neurofunq has never stopped believing in his dreams! Today, his primary musical genres are Progressive and Electro House. In 2014, a new chapter began where his tracks were being released via various prominent records labels from around the globe. When not working on his own productions, Neurofunq is also working on new collaborations with fellow EDM producers from around the world.

The song "Hide Love" is an Uplifting Progressive House flavour that was created with the association of a great story of Love! The creative aim of this song was to capture the feelings and emotions that are associated with Love and well-being! Euphoria, joy and delight - emotions that need to be included in the song, because Love is the greatest value of life!

Tom states: 
"The song "Hide Love" is an anthem for people who want love in their life and to remind, what is important in life and give everyone hope!"

The release comes with a beautiful catchy remix from up and coming Finland based star 4xcent (pronounced Accent); offering a big emotional melody based rendition of the Original with hard-hitting bass to destroy the dance floor.

Jason Seizures is back on Digital Insomnia Groove, this time with an Original track of Electro House flavour.

There is no doubt that Seizures is once again bringing his A-game to the table. Fat Toddler is a pulsating groovy electro track that will sure to make the rounds of many dances floors.

Jason states that: “Last year I had major problems completing tracks. I was focusing too much on making something revolutionary and making the production sound perfect. A friend told me that I’m putting too much pressure on myself and I should just enjoy making music. The next day I went to the studio and did exactly that. In just a few hours I had made this groovy electro track with a weird lead bass and some tech house influences. It was the first original I finished in over a year!”

“The title Fat Toddler came about, because when I listened to the track, I imagined a big fat baby who was trying to learn how to walk. He would stand up and walk a few steps and then fall down. Again and again until he would burst into tears. That’s how I came up with the name for this track”

Fat Toddler Original is accompanied with 2 remixes. Tom Fall (Armada) is a Finnish EDM star whose tracks have been played by many huge names, such as Hardwell, Knife Party, Armin van Buuren etc. This remix is, in Tom’s own words, a big room track with future house elements. It’s loud and aggressive and it will detonate every club in a 10-mile radius.

Ousnap! is a Finnish DJ-collective, which consists of 4 DJs. They have been making name by playing big festivals and lots of club events in Finland. Their remix is a Complextro styled track with smooth sounds and lots of groove.

Digital Insomnia Recordings are back with Phase Two of 'STORM' from Krzysztof Chochlow. 

The Original 'STORM' track was a Tech Trance and Electro House track with a driving electro beat, fused with merciless percussion, uplifting stabs and subtle bass FX. 

Phase Two comes with two Trance Remixes to present from Arien Grade and Rhodium. 

Arien Grade lifts off with some modern progressive trance synth layered rolling beats, stabs and FX; slowly introducing elements of the original STORM riff. Lifting off with a dark style Trance riser that hits back again with progressive hard beats, into a monster outro.  This is a must have track for those ‘Dark Mainroom’ Trance events. 

Rhodium delivers a traditional old skool style Uplifting Trance remix, kicking off with rolling bass and beats into an acid guitar layered synth riff. Introduction of the main riff soon makes an appearance leading into a reverb chambered pad driven exotic and melodic breakdown. Strings and trance plucks drive through the breakdown, layering back to an eastern vocal FX and drop back into hard driving beats. One for the traditional high tempo Uplifting Trancers out there.

Dan Price from Poland is back on Digital Insomnia Groove, this time with two new, fresh Original tracks in different styles. 
There is no doubt that Dan is once again bringing his A-game to the table firstly with a collaboration between Dutch singer - Bibi Provence. 

The track 'Turn' is taking the listener to #Bigroom world with nice melodic sounds, piano structures resonate at the opening of the track, followed by a beautiful lead melody takes over the track with the epic vocals of Bibi Provence piercing through.

Dan's inspiration in making this track came from some old Bigroom hits by Project 46, Cicada and many more. 

The second track 'Lost' is the new generation of the #EDM sounds. 'Lost' is a mix of different styles of Electro, Progressive and Bigroom House. Lost is an epic builder from the start, offering driving bass and Bigroom melodic melodies with a touch of classical arrangement.

Digital Insomnia Recordings kick-start 2016 with a Classic Uplifting Trance release from the talented Ben Ashley. 
This track is a personal journey for Ben. A big name in the Trance scene once told him to 'never give up', and you only get out what you put in' we have to say these are very wise words.  

Ben states: 

'I called this track 'My Destiny', because music is my destiny; 'Destiny' also being my daughter's name. The track took 7 months to make and was very hard work and frustrating at times, as i wanted it to be as uplifting as i could get it. There would be so many times I took parts out and put new arrangements in; changing it totally until I was happy.' 

My Destiny is reminder of the wonderful Uplifting Trance period that was once dominant in the scene. This Trance melody could easily be archived into the wall of sound along some great classics. Driving rolling trance Basslines, Punchy Kicks, subtle sound design changes, lifting effects and hands in the air melody moments. 

Remixes:

dB9 Project, delivers a 132bpm pounding progressive kick, an uplifting feel with driving acid and electro basslines, driving rhythms and vocal infused effect; flowing into warming melodic breakdown, before introducing the main melody introduces itself, and once again fusing together with more beats and FX. 

Merc delivers a more punchier tempo, keeping with similar style flow to the Original Mix. The track then leads into a massive melody plucks infused by piano, pads, strings all building to the main riff and once again hitting back with a subtle snare build and once again pounding basslines, kicks and rhythms. 

So we present Ben's first release 'My Destiny'; we hope to hear many more uplifting melodies in the future, enjoy!
