This remix chain brings together producers from around the world, each linked by samples as well as membership of the Ninja Tune record label’s online forum.

It’s apt Ninja Tune has inspired remix projects. The label was established by Coldcut, whose reworking of Eric B and Rakim’s ‘Paid In Full’ in 1987 has been described as a “benchmark remix” by The Guardian newspaper.

The first remix chain was started in England with Kelp’s track ‘Oceandrift’ and the remixes that flowed from the ambient composition featured a variety of electronic music genres.

This remix chain begins in England with the initial track provided by Oxynucid.

Aaaah, Harrow! Ha ha. Sampled an old track I made on the Yamaha Rm1x. Just a loop really, modified with the Es-1. Quite a pleasing effect though.

Trying to sound like Daft Punk etc. The sample is The Whispers. This is a rare occasion where I have used a loop. It's fun using the slice function on this sort of sample.
