EVENT HORIZON is an instrumental track that breaks the boundaries among musical genres, combining musical elements and instruments from different styles and periods into an organic composition.

It features themes from the height of the Baroque era (including the notes B-A-C-H), chordal progressions in the style of modern soundtracks, modulations inspired by classical and impressionistic music, and rhythmic patterns from rock music. 

The arrangement includes traditional instruments (grand piano, strings ensemble, e-bass, drums) as well as cinematic sounds (percussion, pads) and contemporary electronic sounds and effects.

Travel through the "Event Horizon" into the unknown - a dimension beyond, where music does not require words or images, but just expresses itself: the realm of "absolute music".

EXOSPHERE is an instrumental track inspired by the vision of an interstellar journey to another world, an "Exoplanet" outside the Solar System, orbiting a different star.

00:00-00:25: Launch
00:25-01:51: Main Theme (Journey Through Space). Epic in character, it symbolizes the beauty of space but also the challenges the crew has to face to get to their destination, light years away.
01:51-02:59: Second Theme (The Exoplanet), performed by the piano. It symbolizes the discovery of a new beautiful world, still untouched by human civilization, thriving with life. It was inspired by a melody line in "City Lights", a track by Jamie Nord (https://youtu.be/0iwzCkXlwLQ). 
02:59-03:51: Transition Theme (Beautiful, Dangerous World). A new dramatic chord sequence is introduced, combined wtih the Second Theme, symbolizing that this world, while beautiful, is in fact not as safe and innocent as it appeared to be. The crew is forced to retreat back on board of their spaceships and must leave the Exoplanet behind ...
03:51-04:26: Main Theme Reprise (Journey Back To Earth), combined with elements of the Second Theme (symbolizing the crew remembering the beauty but also the dangers experienced on the Exoplanet).
04:26-04:44: Landing

CRIMSON STAR is an instrumental track inspired by the spectacular sight of a binary star system - a red giant / red dwarf pair - seen from the surface of a moon, orbiting a gas-giant exoplanet.

MAGNETAR is an instrumental track inspired by one of the most enigmatic objects in the universe, the Magnetar.

The hypnotic synth lines (Minimoog) are recursive and in 12/8 meter, intersecting with the main 4/4 meter of the piece. They symbolize the curved force-field lines surrounding the collapsed star. Another Minimoog is used for the main bass line, later joined by an E-Bass. The main melody is performed by 2 clean E-guitars, contrasting with hybrid synth-hits and distorted E-guitars that symbolize the destructive force of the Magnetar. The rhythm section features, beside a combination of acoustic and electronic elements, 2 live udu-drums.

A Magnetar is a special type of Neutron Star, characterized by an extremely powerful magnetic field. Neutron Stars are the result of the collapsed core of a giant star. They are made of super-dense degenerated matter (neutronium) and have a radius of just about 10-20 km. A spoonful of neutronium would have a mass of over 100 million tons.
