Fast-rising percussion purveyor Drumheller joins Funky Adjacent with the Paprika/Standoff EP. The Glaswegian producer has rapidly become known for his club-ready drum tools following his debut release on Jamz Supernova’s Future Bounce in 2021, and further releases on respected labels such as Jerome and Club Djembe.

‘Paprika/Standoff’ sees Drumheller take inspiration from world club genres to create two punishing cuts for peak time.

‘Standoff’ fuses a thumping kick, rumbling sub bass, marching snare drums, bongos and bleeps, to create a punchy industrial heater that isn’t lacking in groove. On ‘Paprika’, elements of gqom and amapiano meet UK techno, as rhythmic chanting is combined with rolling log drums, a bouncing bassline, half-time breakdowns and a smattering of breakbeats.

Sandra Zegarra Patow AKA @20unas se trasladó con sus padres de Lima a Rotterdam. La música latina confluye en sus sesiones de DJ, abrazando siempre sus raices. Desde la cumbia psicodélica al reggaeton, pasando por el baile funk o el neoperreo. Melodías sudorosas que Veinte Uñas predica detrás de los platos.

”Esta compilación representa una mezcla de sonidos diversos durante mi estancia en Curaçao. El viaje comienza con un ritmo lento y sensual, dando un giro inesperado con elementos de bass, cumbia, neoperreo y future beats. Como artista, me gusta superar mis propios límites. Crear mixtapes me permite transportar a los oyentes a un reino diferente del que experimentan cuando salir de rumba con amigas. Es una experiencia más íntima, desprovista de distracciones, donde te guío en un tour privado a través de mis sensaciones, invitándote al mundo de la Veinte”.

As a little girl, Sandra Zegarra Patow AKA @20unas moved from Lima to Rotterdam with her parents. The latin’s music comes together in her DJ sets connecting with her roots. It ranges from psychedelic cumbia to reggaeton and from baile funk to neoperreo. These sounds are sweaty and Veinte Uñas leads by the example behind the turntables.

This compilation represents a blend of the miscellaneous sounds during my time in Curaçao. The journey begins with a slow and sensual pace, taking an unexpected turn with elements of bass, cumbia, neoperreo, and future beats. As an artist, I enjoy pushing my own boundaries. Crafting mixtapes allows me to transport listeners to a different realm than the one experienced on the dance floor. It's a more intimate experience, devoid of distractions, where I guide you on a private tour through my sensations, inviting you into the world de la Veinte.
