A genuine love for music and the community behind it is what assembled Miluhska’s artistic journey from the ground up. Starting her career in late 2020, her talent and perseverance have enabled her to rapidly grow in Miami’s underground scene. Ever since, she’s built a name for herself through her sound, not only DJing but also writing, composing, singing and releasing music with artists all over the world. Tapping into several sub-genres within house and techno, Miluhska’s open-minded musical taste allows her to cater to all music lovers from every spectrum, leading to appearances in venues ranging from Club Space (MIA) to Somewhere Nowhere (NYC) and onwards to parties and festivals overseas in cities such as Ibiza, Amsterdam and Bimini.

While carrying a solid solo career, she co-founded Roujeee Tunes: a femme DJ trio fueled by a shared purpose between them—a desire to cultivate a creative community and to curate personalized experiences through their performances. The visionary prowess of the three have truly helped shape who Miluhska is as an artist.

These attributes mixed with her charismatic personality, fashion sense and wide versatility in her sound are what make her an unstoppable force.

Early  May  will see  Mihai  Popoviciu  return  with  his second  long  player  in the  shape  of the ‘Home’  LP on Bondage  music, comprising  twelve  original  compositions  from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album’s called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania’s Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like ‘ACK’,  ‘Sandstone  Folder’  and  ‘Tentacle  Operated’  showcasing  the  hypnotic  and  percussive  style Popoviciu  executes  so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions  like
‘Cannon Poets’ and ‘Sunshine’ while the likes of ‘Triumph’ and ‘Music 999’ radiantly display Mihai’s proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, ‘Focus and ‘Havana’ lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations  and an unfaltering structure, while ‘Data On Data’, ‘Paranoia’ and ‘Hypnosia’ tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth  pads  and  chuggy  low  end  tones.  Once  again  Popoviciu  has  proven  himself  to  be  one  of Romania’s finest electronic music exports.

Kicking things off, Meyer delivers an enchanting ride with 'LA Strings', where whimsical pads rise and sweep as a hypnotizing bass line whirls endlessly across a landscape of earthy percussion. While still maintaining his trademark sound but taking a slightly deeper path, Meyer conjures up the super dreamy 'Uluwatu'. Settled firmly in rich organic percussion and lush melodies, 'Uluwatu' jaunts effortlessly through overgrown rain forests and lavish emotions. 

Next up is Gorje Hewek and Izhevski's 'Turgoyakk' and it's an absolute gem. Opulent pads, sensuous strings and powerful keys culminate in a profoundly vivid tour into truly emotional territory. Finally, YokoO & Retza deliver an impressive number with the dazzling 'Satori' which is laced with ornate keys and soft siren calls rounding up the release with timeless style. Premiere: Alex Heide & Maximillion - La Dolce Vita (Ale Castro's Not Living In Miami Remix)[Lauter.]

On his eternal quest for sonic transcendence, Afriqua joins forces with Soul Clap Records for AFREEKWUH, a semi-eponymous body of new music. At the beginning of 2020, having finally wrapped up his 2019 debut LP, it was time to get back to basics doing what he does best; bringing the secrets of Black music to modern clubland. The dancefloor days didn’t last long this year, but the sudden change of pace was a blessing in disguise. Feeling entirely free to break from any functional cliches, Afriqua dove deeper into his distinctive approach, creating 4 tracks equally satisfying from an ass-shaking or home listening perspective.

It is during times of uncertainty when great musicians create their best work, and it’s no surprise that these tracks are some of Afriqua’s most impactful to date. A nod to the sounds of Rick James and Nile Rodgers, tracks like ‘Legacy’ inject funk into whatever space they are played and caught the ear of Eli from Soul Clap Records. This music feels right at home with the label’s eclectic mix of electronic sounds and reminds us that a dancefloor can emerge anywhere when the right music permeates the air.
