Hailing from the magical land of India, vinayak^a is no stranger to mystical rhythms and mysterious atmospheres. A part of India's ever-growing scene, he's leading the way with a series of releases that explore the deeper side of electronic music. This one is no different!

With a deep and warm bassline that picks you up and carries you across like a magic carpet, vinayak^a takes us into his dreamy world with such ease, that the listener cannot help but be transported to the ethereal realms. On the flip-side, German veteran Martin Buttrich disassembles the original into a pair of spacey delights, with his powerful yet atmospheric touch that made him one of the most respected producers around the globe.

Heavy Rotations Vol 1 is Maeve's first long player. Releasing a compilation has long been an ambition of the label, however time was the key component in producing a record we could all be proud of. The best laid plans can often fall by the wayside, having a clear idea of what you want to achieve with a record like this changes constantly as you collect the pieces of the puzzle and try fit them together in a way that makes sense.

As well as the label founders we started by also inviting friends that had already released on Maeve, to contribute to the compilation. This was a good starting point as each of those artists are all quite different from one another so we felt it could produce some interesting results. There was no brief, just a blank canvas to contribute something they felt belonged on the label. It was also super important for us to use this record as a platform for lesser known artists to showcase their work.

So after 2 years of planning we finally have an 11 track compilation together which will be delivered as a triple vinyl in early June. It is a record that developed and changed a lot over that period but now is something Maeve is very excited to share with the world.

On May 19th we will launch the record at Funkhaus Berlin with a line up compiled of those who contributed to the compilation.

Tenampa turns now to one of the most well-known and respect underground artists: Butane.

Butane boasts an impressive discography, released by some of the most highly regarded labels in the business, such as Crosstown Rebels, Sci+Tec, Hottrax & Get Physical. 
As a label owner, he's the founder of three influential underground dance music imprints: Alphahouse, Little Helpers, and his new Extrasketch project.

Butane teams up again with Riko Forinson for his Ascension EP, using the same formula of their latest release on Deeperfect Records.

The title track is a tasty workout with plenty of groove, chunky and hypnotic, that will keep you locked in!

“Manipulation” is a deep underground number with dark overtones and pitched down speech that spices things up. A solid gem for the chunkier moments of your set.

Remix duties by Thessaloniki’s very own: AND.ID, who delivers a Techy driven piece, rough and edgy. Making a unique and clever integration of the original elements, constructing a rich and textured atmosphere, ready to do some serious damage on the dancefloor.

Chopstick & Johnjon and Nils Penner are both familiar faces on Moodmusic, releasing various 12" singles on the label in the mid 2000s. Found in the vaults of old premasters, Sun Rises In The East was a initially released in 2009 on the US based Absurd label and now finds its home on Moodmusic with a remastering and a remix by label head Sasse.

Daniel Meister stays true to his reputation and delivers a deep and funky minimal house version of ‚What‘, whilst Tonkind‘s Edgar Peng rounds off the EP with a more playful version of "Panda Pro".
