Ever since the German producer known as Claptone got his start just a year ago, he has been awarded artist of the year on the German Trendcharts DCC 2012, and has held his spot on Beatport’s Top 10 Tracks in the deep house category. So, without surprise, Claptone brought in 2013 with a fresh EP that is still at the top of the charts today.
No Eyes, which features the vocals of Jaw from dOP has been getting love from all over the world including plays by Annie Mac and Pete Tong ('Essential Tune') on BBC Radio 1 who named Claptone 'Future Star of 2013' at the beginning of the year.
It’s a gripping deep house production with an expressive melody, driven by the low and eerie bass line. The airy keyboard chords gives it the personality of a dark, daydream vibe, while the progression is rhythmic and funky. The fresh vocals interlock with the deep house instrumental, creating a song that will be bumping in the back of your mind for a while.

Actually, we think it’d be pretty chill if he took the reigns on the “the world’s unique soundtrack” and made it sound a little more like this velvety, floor-shaking, party-starting, spooky, hypnotic house track GHOST he delivered us on the back of a singing Alec Ounsworth from Indie Rock Band CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY YEAH.

The latest signing from the region is fresh Ecuadorian talent ORDONEZ, resident of the world famous Lost Beach Club. THE SPELL EP is definitely one of the biggest releases of 2015 so far, which says a lot as it has been an amazing year so far!

THE SPELL
Smooth grooving percussion pushes this track along while ORDONEZ weaves in the melody from a gritty Rhodes organ and adds to the magic with spiracles of electric piano. But then, the seductive vocals come to the front and the whole track opens up to become one of the catchiest tunes of the year. The drop after the long break is just... no words can describe it! House Music all night long, yeeeah!

Next up is a funky sample-lead house burner. Nice earthy drums and a catchy guitar riff offer a warm vibe for smiles and laughter on the dance floor. While Robosonic's extraordinary OFF debut „Worst Love“ was paying homage to a specific underground rap record by the Dilated Peoples (actually without sampling the record itself), the follow-up now takes it way over the edge: consciously, of sound mind. Since their early vinyl bootlegs (2005) under various aliases and their critically acclaimed first album as Robosonic (2007), Cord and Sacha incorporate a certain sense of irony into their undisputed world class production work. For their next episode on OFF, the boys cut slices of hiphop sample history and flipped them into seriously soulful house music joints. Functional arrangements with plenty of musical references to golden eras and past times create the emotional depth of Robosonic’s modern „hi-tech soul“. 
„OVER“ with its intimate feel seems less obvious than the famous hookline of „THE EDGE“. In fact Dr. Dre was not the first beatmaker to cook it up, so Robosonic probably aren‘t the last either. They just do what they like doing best. Funnily enough our praised creators anticipate critics and let Talib do the talking: „These cats ain‘t real.“
