Premiere: Julian Wassermann - Painfully

Based in the world, made in Berlin and powered by the audience: this is Einmusika Recordings. Founded by label boss Einmusik end of 2008, the imprint has grown to a large family with members from Beirut, Toronto, Madrid, Amsterdam and many more cities. To celebrate 10 Years of it’s creative journeys and visions, Einmusika asked some friends and highly respected musicians to pick their favourite track from the past 10 Years for a very particular remix. 

So this time we’ll bring ya „J’oublie“ remixed by Olivier Giacomotto - a big dancefloor number. Dave Seaman remixed Tim Engelhardt’s “Vega“ and this one stays in your mind for hours. 3000 Grad founder Mollono.Bass comes with a new version of “Multiple Life“ by Einmusik - one for the hot nights and the festivals around the globe. We asked Julian Wassermann about his fave Einmusika track and he picked “La Danse Du Scorpion“ by Sébastien Léger - the one which made the clubs shaking in 2017 and is now putted to the next level with a darker attitude and clubby sounds. Emotional and uplifting comes Paji’s version of “Starlings“ by N’to, what an unique remix - individual and spheric.

Every Journey Creates A New Sound – Einmusika’s trip continues and the label will manifest itself with many showcases and own festival stages till the end of 2019.

Mathame refine their singular sound on ‘Skywalking’ and a collaboration with Tale Of Us, ‘Departure’.
Following 2018’s ‘Nothing Around Us’ single, Mathame show no sign of slowing down. Their Afterlife Recordings follow up is a dancefloor single of epic proportions, taking the duo further into a realm of their own. Tension hangs off the sliding chords and spacious arrangements. In the case of ‘Skywalking’ it reaches an uplifting, euphoric crescendo, in Tale Of Us’ intro edit of ‘Departure’ the theme goes darker and off-kilter. Bona fide anthems in the sets of Mathame and Tale Of Us.

A few weeks ago I wrote this song using vocals from a track by Knoc Turn’al featuring Missy Elliott and Dr. Dre, and had originally planned on releasing it last week, but decided not to let all the posts highlighting the injustice experienced throughout the US shine. 

Now, I want to go ahead and release this track, featuring vocals from black artists in a style of music that was created by black artists (house), to not only show my solidarity and appreciation but to encourage more people to speak out . 

I am asking you to donate to NAACP or any other organization supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement, and if you send me proof that you donated after I made this post, I will match that donation.

With tracks that will impress from start to finish, Pyrame is releasing 4 remixes - on his very own label Thisbe Recordings - of his newest EP: The Pace of Everything that Lives. With Radial Gaze, Days of Being Wild, Local Suicide and Skelesys all chiming in on the tracklist, be prepared for some dark and intense grooving to come out of this one. Combining the elements of disco, rock, industrial, and techno, these pioneering producers all have their unique ways of approaching Pyrame’s passionate themes of relationships, freedom, life, and love.

Next up are the French producers Franz Kirmann and Sam Berdah, behind the Days of Being Wild label, with their remix of The Pace of Everything that Lives. The two have taken this sombre and emotional track and given it a groovy and industrial paint job. Really embracing the oriental elements that Pyrame originally included, yet kicking it up a notch, they’ve almost changed the format completely with distorted mechanical synths that oscillate and vibrate, deciding to continuously layer these over the top of one another. Progressing further into the track, the producers known for creating “slightly deranged club music”, have kept the angelic euphoria from the original, but decided to isolate the voice during the breakdown to give you a taste of the enchanting world from beyond, as it effectively fills the track with a spooky and tension filled aura. A really interesting disco-noir approach to a progressive track.

The Remix EP of The Pace of Everything that Lives is set to be released on both Vinyl and Digital, on October 16th via Thisbe Recordings.

Marc und Mark alias René und Silvio aus Frankfurt/Oder waren seit vier Jahren bereits ein musikalisches Liebespaar, als sie 2005 zum ersten Mal aufgerufen waren, gemeinsam zum Auflegen auf der Fusion aufzulaufen. Bis dahin waren sie auf diesem Festival, zu dessen Kreis von Veranstaltenden sie damals beide zählten, entweder mit Hörspiel-Copilot oder ganz alleine unterwegs. 

Die Sportbrigade war im Jahr zuvor erstmals unter diesem Namen in Erscheinung getreten und hatte für erstes Aufsehen gesorgt. Mit dem Auftritt am Sonntag morgen auf der Turmbühne traten die Beiden endgültig in die Wahrnehmung einer größeren Schnittmenge von Fusiongänger*innen und darüber hinaus. 

Als großes Glück erwies sich der Umstand, dass ein Festivalgast sein Aufnahmegerät angeschlossen und das Resultat im Forum des Festivals geteilt hatte. So blieb uns das wilde Set als Zeitdokument erhalten. 

Gut abgehangen, bisher nie veröffentlicht und mit einigem historischen Bezug versehen gelangt dieser Vinyl-only Mitschnitt nun in die Öffentlichkeit.

Welcome to 2021: Darkroom Dubs crack open their 18th year with a warm welcome to two new members to the roster… Santiago producer Alejandro Paz and Berlin duo Local Suicide with ‘Directions’, complete with remixes from Undo, DJs Pareja and Velax.
Cold, cutting edge and boasting a full-spectrum of sounds, there’s a slight irony to dropping a release called ‘Directions’ when none of us know where the hell we’re going right now. But we sure as hell know what we’re listening to. And boy do we love it.
As proved on previous collaborations between the two acts on labels such as Nein and Aeon, Alejandro’s weighty production dynamics and Local Suicide’s purring noir soul complement each other to the very last transient. Part new romantic, part tech-no, all dancefloor; each track is a story just as much as it’s a song. ‘Directions’ cap-tures the frustrations and intensity of isolated life in the 21st century and ‘Splish Splash’ takes a provocative, playful stance with its acid house bass plunges and cosmic squiggles.
It’s loaded with a full range of heavyweight remixes from a rollcall of exceptional ta-lent: Undo gets a slinky bass guitar in the mix, DJs Pareja get wonky and bumpy while Velax fuses more grit and intensity in his special Isolated remix.
