We're excited to welcome L.F.T. to the series. The Hamburg-based DJ and producer is well-known for his new wave, break beat, and electro tinted style which is regularly played by Helena Hauff and Alessandro Adriani among others. He's released some incredible work on labels like Return To Disorder, Tresor, Mechatronica, Eye for an Eye recordings, Osare Editions just to name a few with an album scheduled for release this year. He curates concerts at the Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg and runs an experimental independent label called „Neoprimitive“. His session is an energetic electro delight, pulling inspiration from the dirty and distorted beats of The Hague with the 80's sound of San Francisco. Lock in!

Split Pulse is one of those djs who always brings a message to their listeners. He and his friend Rookas are promoting electronic music in Lithuania since 2010, doing probably best techno parties and bringing well known producers like Ben Gibson, Abdulla Rashim, Nick Dunton, Max_M and others. This time we have decided to pay tribute to Electro records and to its "Electro Transmission" series. We say goodbye to this iconic electro label since its founder, Alek Stark, decided to close it down and run away with the money that many fans paid for pre-orders. Yes, we are also included in this list of deceived people. It's a very sad story, to be honest, as Electro and its parent, Fundamental records, were unique in some way. So many records, with amazing designs and great music have been released. Everything was done with love & passion and finally it all ended badly because of one man's greed. What a drama. We express our sincere respect to all the artists who recorded music for this record label and to all fans ! In music we trust !

Electro Boogie (episode 37: Electro Transmissions special)

For this episode of the series we have a special, as the guest slot features a live recording of Marsman's set from the recent FERMA x Pinkman Label Night that took place on May 31st in Six Dogs Athens. First hour by resident Romphea.

At the helm of his beloved label, Marsman preaches the ‘Pinkman sound’ to congregations of devoted followers. Holding court for over ten years now, he released more than 100 records and hosted countless club nights all over the world.

With over 15 years behind the decks, and the breathless release schedule he orchestrates for Pinkman and its subsidiary labels - Mindri, Broken Dreams & Charlois - Marsman has become a central figure in a close-knit scene of rough-around-the-edges DIY dance music.
Marsman’s DJing can ride through uplifting synths and thunderous drum patterns that are equally suited to dark, sweat-drenched basements and cavernous industrial warehouses. But dig beneath the dirt and there’s brightness to be found, with a glossy Italo sheen never far from Marsman’s selections.

Keeping clubrooms locked into groove for hours on end by meticulously building atmospheres of unease, he can pierce the tension whenever he feels the time is right with moments of hands-in-the-air euphoria. Combining euphoric disco and wave with darker, harder sounds is a trademark move from one of Rotterdam’s finest exports.

And he’s done it at all the best spots the Netherlands has to offer, with appearances at Dekmantel, Garage Noord, Pip, Drift Festival and Intergalactic FM. Further afield, he played at renowned international clubs like Panorama Bar, Tresor, Khidi and FOLD.

Beyond all this, he’s a founding member of cherished radio station Operator, and previously ran the sorely missed Pinkman record store in the heart of Rotterdam’s creative Schieblock, giving Marsman a well-deserved cult hero status for independent music in the harbour city and far, far beyond.

Музыку Егора можно описать как комбинацию структуры Электро, Техно секвенций и Брэйкбит атмосферы. Благодаря тому, что Егор пишет в основном на аналоговых синтезаторах, развитие композиций получается настолько неоднообразным, насколько это возможно, дополняя грувом Драм энд бэйс музыки.

Главная идея данного лайва это ограничение до одного устройства для получения максимально концентрированного звука из направлений брейкбита и электро. Для достижения этой цели задействованы, как субтрактивный синтез данного устройства (Analog Rytm), так и сэмплерная часть. Все используемые сэмплы записаны Егором, со следующих синтезаторов: Moog DFAM, Roland SH-32, Dreadbox NYX v2, Elektron Digitone, Eowave Domino.

Once a member of techno head family "Didžiųjų Agregatų Inžinieriai", later a cousin of "Minimal.lt" but lastly a prominent face behind the decks of Opium Club. Oh, not to mention his short lived rap afficionado as "Patamsių Gaivalai". This truly technical and groovy guy shows off his modern side: house-ish, maybe little disco-ish but still with visible treats of techno background and unique mixing skills. Sounds best during the early sunset, trust us.
