Marsman @ Intergalactic FM Streaming festival 2021

When we gathered in Karlín Jungle to celebrate the 4th year of club’s existence it was more than just another birthday party. We wanted to put an end to the hardest year we ever had, symbolically. To leave behind, but not to forget. We needed to honor the little things we were able to do in the past year, but we also wanted to start anew, refresh. To raise glasses to a survival. Hence the subtitle – New Beginnings – and what an intense one that was.

We’ve managed to capture some of that intensity on our memory cards and we are publishing it as four memory artefacts: 41 minutes of gloomy yet warm magic of Exhausted Modern; 137 minutes of Claudia playing with Marie Pravda, both ablaze and unstoppable; 2 hours of UK, dub and breaks from Vision of 1994, all smiles and sunshines; and 2 hour journey with Mor Wen, pulling you into uncharted territories, home of her own.

Longtime friends Anna Coranić and Aitcher Clark recently made their debut under this moniker on VEYL Records with their brutal and uncompromising first EP Post-Apo Romance. The release beautifully demonstrates the duo's borderless sound, weaving together distorted post-industrial electronics with serene ambient landscapes and powerful vocals, taking you on an emotive journey through disparate feelings of desolation and tranquility. The two have rich and extensive roots in Prague’s electronic music scene, contributing to its revival both through bringing avante-garde artists to the city and their own music production. LOFN’s dynamic Endless Illusion mix fits in seamlessly with their sound, bringing elements of industrial, techno, and dance to the foreground. Back in 2016 when I started DJing, I set off my sonic journey with UK Garage and Dubstep, spliff and controller sessions with Fahell and shitty speakers. I always held dubstep as a personal niche and never had the opportunity to spin it on a large soundsystem since my days in Zlin, where it was with Dexxx and Hyber (A+++) at a local club with old 850s and a hot DJM. I’m excited to have a format to set together a journey through dub and my latest fav picks from the 140 realm. This one is for all my fellow soundbwoys, no neo, only proper. ⚡️

As a part of Pinkman Records crew, an affiliate of WORM, Roodkapje and now, POING, Genyten's mark on Rotterdam is undeniable. From Lithuania by way of warehouse raves in London, her style combines industrial tinged sounds, bass and avant-garde in a manner that is futuristic and surprising as much as it can be counted on as being an instant classic.

Fotini Kappa has been partaking in creative endeavours since her childhood in Greece, while her relocation to the Netherlands in 2013 brought forth the musical project titled Pasiphae. A talented producer thrust to the foreground of the scene with 2016‘s “Made of Glass EP” crafted together with Intergalactic Gary, Pasiphae has released further solo work on Artificial Dance, Marguerite Records and is set to deliver something promising on Pinkman; as a DJ she broadcasts diverse soundscapes over Intergalactic FM, Operator and other unorthodox wavelengths, while in a non-pandemic setting, her energetic dancefloor sets deliver hard-hitting beats and harmonies both sinister and elegant, never crossing over into the banal. The artist reveals many insights and several secrets regarding her work in the accompanying Q&A.
