This week we're truly happy to welcome Exhausted Modern to the series. As a producer, he commands an uncommonly consistent list of quality releases on labels such as Brokntoys, Veyl, Marguerite, Rotterdam Electronix, Soil, and many others. True to his sound, he heads the Endless Illusion label which is active since 2011, and holds a sick roster of artists. The most recent release is a remix EP of the artist's stellar Year of the Rat album with remixes by Poperttelli, NVST, Philip Otterbach, and others. He also boasts an incredible modular-powered live set, delivering a killer performance at Pinkman's District streams among others. Lock in for an hour of finely selected downtempo electronics by a master at his craft.

A leading member of her home city’s We Are Radar party collective, she combines all aspects of the electronic sphere to carve out her own style. She has performed at leading clubs and festivals as Berghain, De School, Tresor, Golden Pudel, Dekmantel and Nachtdigital, Digital Tsunami, Boiler Room, and others. In addition to having extensive experience in booking and event management, she has brought out music on top-shelf labels such as Pinkman, both as herself as well as her collaborative alias Radiation 30376, a split EP on Dalmata Daniel, and more. TRIBETEKNO SAMPLE PACK - Tribal Perspective Preview

Over the past few years electro has made it's way back into hearts and record bags; finding a new generation of discerning fans and spotlighting a shed load of young talented producers.

One of the labels at the forefront of this revival is Mechatronica, a Berlin-based imprint who seek to explore the relationship between man and machine. Danish-born Casper Mejlholm, who moonlights under the guise of Mejle, makes up part of the quartet of DJs, producers, designers and all-round music lovers that founded the label, and now party series, in the German capital. Having released music from the likes of Jensen Interceptor, Innershades, The Exaltics and Sync 24, it's evident that Mejle's ear for interesting, emotive and powerful electro is more refined than most. 

He takes the reigns for this week's 'Shine A Light On' mix, an hour of machine-driven electro with a few upcoming Mechatronica releases thrown in for good measure...

Borusiade
Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania and now residing in Berlin, Borusiade aka Miruna Boruzescu started dj-ing in 2002 as one of the only female DJs in the city’s emerging alternative clubbing scene.
Influenced by a classical musical education and fascinated by raw electronic sounds Borusiade combined these elements in the construction of her DJ sets and starting 2005 also in her music production. Her sets combine bold and obscure sounds and fluid genres fluctuating in the field of Dark / Wave / Techno with an Acid touch... you never know where that leads..
The sound is gloomy and powerful, with beats that touch one’s deepest senses.
