Bagavond is the collective consciousness of bass duo, Dan Brass & Edward Fernandez. Formerly going by High As HeLL, Bagavond has become the new face of this musical partnering. Originally from the east coast, these 2 alien vagabonds, have migrated their way from NY, to the Bass State of CO, to bring the Bagavond sound out west.

The Musical philosophy behind Bagavond is to create an ever-changing bass soundscape, for every mood. Music has an ability to heal, and every song and sound can cater in its own way to specific feelings. Bagavond looks to follow in this ideology, pursuing a constant fluctuation between the entire spectrum of emotions through music. Combining a love for the experimental & weird, the melodic & deep, plus the abrasive & aggressive...there is no telling what unique twist of emotions Bagavond will bring to the table.

"We The Type was always intended to be that "Balls to the wall, no holds barred" type of hype bass track. Pretty sure we had just seen Conrank in NYC the previous night to making this haha, which pretty sure that was definitely a driving force in its emotional direction. We definitely wanted to create something with a slight throwback to that oldschool nostalgic bass sound, just with a bit of a more experimental and slightly humorously-light & weird twist to it. The main vocal samples come from Outkast-Rosa Parks and clips from a show called the "Get Down", highlighting some of DJings very beginnings. 

A very big part of Bagavond & High As HeLL's creation came from our early years of DJing house parties and clubs (we'd set up 2 traktor s4's through a mixer and would cut back and forth and do live mashups with all 8 decks at times). We learned a lot about our sound and style of mixing from those performances, also just how influential our start as DJs would be for our later productions. Those vocal clips used for the song were in many ways an homage to our beginnings as DJs."

**We The Type is also part of our brand new full length album, Taming The Strange. The "Get Down" vocal samples were also used to tie in a semi-fictional concept storyline throughout the album.
