In the turbulent nineties, there were a huge number of labels.  There were many beautiful, many that were called classic, and some were simply called “legendary”.  Hooj Choons is one of those.  Having existed for just over ten years, having released a huge number of successful, classic, legendary tracks - the label suffered a fiasco and was declared bankrupt.  There is hardly a DJ respecting progressive who does not have at least one Hooj Choons record in his collection.  At one time such classics of the genre as Space Manoeuvres 'Stage One', Pete Lazonby 'Sacred Cycles' and Lustral 'Everytime' were released on it.  The label had several successful divisions - deep house Airtight, trance Lost Language, tech Prolekult and more electric Precinct.  Hooj Choons is the brainchild of a legendary man hiding under the pseudonym Red Jerry (by the way, his sister is none other than the same Dido).
