RecordMix 021 : Sasha Novinskaya (Recordeep)

The First Addition of the ABS podcast series, warmly welcomes Israeli born Stephan Bazbaz. 

Having attended the S.A.E Institute in Byron Bay, Australia, he then moved on to curate sounds and frequencies that would soon reshape house music, both internationally and in his home town of Tel Aviv, where he has been running his vinyl only label (No Waves Rec), established in 2016.  

Stephan was invited to play, once again, at Subsonic Music Festival a few months ago, where he delivered a set that would prove to be a festival favourite. 

This podcast features a carefully selected mix of digital and vinyl only tracks from our favourite locals and internationals, including, 
@ferro & @reiss_amsterdam, @monika-ross, @elijah-something & @nate_su, @benraumusic, Jack Wickham, and @archiehamiltonmusic. Stephan is set to release a fresh track on Archie's label Moss. Co Rec, later this year featuring Asael Weiss, alongside remixes from Rossko [FUSE/London], and the label head honcho himself.   

Bazbaz will also be returning later this year for a various artist, vinyl only release on our very own ABS, alongside a remix from a special guest.

With His first release on We R House ‘Salata’ and forthcoming releases Signatune Records as well as a stacked schedule of local support sets on the Sydney scene, it's evident that Dimitri Sinesiou will be one to watch in 2019.

The Eighth Addition of the Vol 2. ABS Podcast series warmly welcomes Dutch-house specialist, Toman. With a super special mix on the horizon it features 100% of his own unreleased tracks and collaborations.

Now based in Amsterdam, he moved to the Dutch capital in early 2018 — and has barely had time to pause for breath since. A producer who boasts an impressively prolific streak, Toman started his musical journey at an early age by learning to play the drums. In recent times, His unique take on house and techno has led him to much-renowned outlets such as @we_r_house, @pivrecords, @cyclicrecords, and @blindvisionrecords. In terms of gigs for 2019, Toman is scheduled to play at the Easter Awakenings alongside some of the biggest names in the game, as well as @straf_werk Festival in the middle of August. 

Smoothly transitioning from minimal through to the deeper side of house, Toman’s diverse musical outlook is refreshingly hard to categorise and evident through his mix, where he boasts tracks scheduled for release later this year alongside some unsigned gems.

Hailing from the cold Malmo, Berlin-based Per Hammar is now a well-known name in the industry, mostly due to his dub techno avant-garde productions, always blending between dusty deep house atmospheres and strong dancefloor-oriented grooves. During the years, he had the chance to collaborate with international heavyweights like Mandar’s Malin Génie (also co-owning “De Vloer”) and S.A.M, Rossko and Okain, giving life to enormous productions on labels such as INFUSE, Berg Audio and AVOTRE to name a few. This set has been recorded last month at the infamous underneath basement of Neu, one of the most iconic clubs in Stockholm, where Per Hammar had the chance to express himself in an extended 4+ hours set.

Next up on the Lacuna Series and with a huge EP scheduled for Lacuna in 2020, we present rising star Yogi P. 

Drawing inspiration from a number of great artists and refining his sound. He now has a magnitude of releases forthcoming on labels, a bulk of them coming in this final month of the year and gaining support from the notorious Houseum later in the month with his track “Cerulean”. 

Expect skippy melodic minimal house sound with jumpy baselines, tight grooves and soundscape like breaks, that are likely to find homage on a number of dance floors.
