After the great success of Solomun’s Love Recycled EP, 2DIY4 is back with the second installment of the series. The `Various Artists’ EP showcases work by fresh talents as well as proven producers. A1 ‘Deep in the Three’ by Thyladomid &amp; Adriatique is a groovy beast with a chunky bass-line, playful organic percussion and Feist’s irresistible vocal. The track has already been receiving great response on the dancefloor. On the Flip ‘Young Girl’ a rework by Peter Kruder, member of the legendary Kruder&amp;Dorfmeister, has a more mysterious vibe. The haunting, stretched vocal is counter-parted by a catchy groove that maintains the drive to the song. B2 ‘No Giggity’ by the young australian producer Gary Todd gets the groove on. Giving a r&amp;b ultra-classic a fresh polish he creates a catchy tool for the dancefloor.

Thyladomid, Adriatique - Deep In The Three (2DIY4_02)

 Its been just a few months ago, Rampa carved his last EP-notch into the Keinemusik-release-tally. But here he goes again, delivering his second KM-offering this year, an almost prophetically headlining track called "Newborn Soul".

This tune is virtually the score to the current situation of its creator. A lurking, tension building piece thats coping without a kickdrum for more than 50 %% of its running time, just to place it in floor-shaking boost in the exact perfect moment. A percussion and synth-flavoured build-up somewhere between tool-characteristics and stylish peaktime-emphasis, thats rising like phoenix from the ashes.

"Mascha" on the flip can be appreciated as a classical Rampa. Analogue sounding, washed out intro, irresistible tribal-grooves including analogue filter and delay-rides, percussive cushioning and folkloristic chants that will invoke nothing else but rowdy floor-ecstasy in this context.

Die beiden deutschen DJ’s und Produzenten haben sich international einen Namen gemacht und sind nicht mehr aus der elektronischen Clubszene wegzudenken. Ihren eigenständigen Stil stellten sie bereits bei einigen Compilations auf Bar 25 Music unter Beweis. Bei ihrem Release ‘Together Onetime’ werden die beiden zudem von dem Remixer Dilby und Agent! tatkräftig unterstützt. Dilby remixt hier mit seinem typisch frischen und warmen Klang. Der Remix von Agent! bringt noch einmal ordentlichen Druck auf das Original. Definitiv ein Release für eine heiße Clubnacht!

Damian Lazarus’ forthcoming full length album, Flourish, continues to take shape with the release of its second single featuring vocalist Jem Cooke. ‘Into The Sun’ further explores the LP’s broken beat territories with soulful songwriting and cadence that carries it beyond the walls of clubland.

The artists showcased through Damian’s Crosstown Rebels imprint and world-class events are always chosen deliberately and methodically. Jem Cooke’s selection as the only featured artist on ‘Flourish’ is no different. Cooke is known for topline stylings alongside the likes of Camelphat, Jamie Jones, Kate Simko and others. This collaboration offers a left of centre platform for the vocalist to experiment beyond the limits of 4/4, resulting in the swirling exposé of ‘Into The Sun’.

Up next is the master of pop minimalism: Hannes Fischer. His underground edits of Röyksopp, Adele and others gained a lot of clicks and fame. The Adele edit had almost 200k of plays on Soundcloud… Wow! No wonder that even Lana Del Rey asked for a remix treatment on her “Summertime Madness” single release and Alex Barck from Jazzanova signed him right away to the Sonar Kollektiv roster. Fortunately we were early enough to ask him for a remix before we had to close our number account in Switzerland to afford his work.
