Today we share with you a truly special project from our Canadian friend Moosefly. Not the first time we've been blessed with this guys raw talent and certainly not the last.								
								
We are also honoured to have 2 incredible remixes from & Iain Howie (SOSO, Rhombus) & Jared Love (Midnight Social Recordings).								
								
For the original mix we have a well rounded and produced organic masterpiece. The track is clean but strong in the bottom end with beautiful melodic pads and crystal clear top end. A really well balanced track certain to put you into an out of mind and body experience. 								
								
Iain Howie puts his touch on the original by adding a subtle but moving sub bass together with a well timed swinging percusive structure making this groove a certain rooftop head turner. 								
								
Jared Love does everything right with his experimental after hours mix, he uses a dubbed out sample version of the melody keeping the groove straight and pumping with a monotonous layout to keep party goers re energised until the very early hours. Sometimes less is more and thats exactly the clever approach from this remix.

Musician and producer Stevie R makes a welcome return to Chapter 24 Records with his Melt album, in which he showcases a desire to bring back ‘rebetiko’ - the little known, underground ‘blues’ music of his native Greece, music that was often outlawed due to its anti-establishment themes. As its name suggests, Melt is a melting pot of sounds and an intricate journey through the musical cosmos, an enticing and alluring soundscape that captivates the listener and invites them along for the ride. 

“Melt is the story of 13 animals trying to go to space. Each animal is a figure in the artist's life, accompanying the others on the difficult journey. Nobody knows where space is, what it looks or feels like. To me, space is where our fears disappear, our loved ones stand beside us, and the fights in our mind cease. Nevertheless, there is a different journey for each and every one of us, our Universe is unique and the animals always look different; in this journey we travel alone.” - Stevie R 

Melt is Stevie R’s platform to bring the rebetiko music that he was raised on, sounds that he believes are a real healing tool, to a wider audience.  The album unites the music from his childhood with music from Greece’s neighbouring countries - Egypt and Turkey. 

Gkii, written alongside Egyptian poet and glitch producer CERPINTXT, is a call and response song between the melodies of both Greek and Egyptian instruments, a cross-cultural dialogue that marries the two in a beautiful union as the track unfolds.

Russian born, London bound KatrinKa expresses herself as a classically trained pianist, accomplished DJ/producer and much more. On April 05th, she adds label manager to her ever-growing repertoire! Next to its founder, BE Records’ debut single, “Red Blue Gold,” features two artists of similar repute. The neighboring Ian McKenzie is on production duties, while Los Angeles’ Shawni provides the mix’s sultry lyrics. Through subtle tube warmth, smooth atmos and elegant instrumentation, the trio craft a vibrant original piece.

Exclusive Kris Davis 'Through the Door'

When Frankey & Sandrino launched Sum Over Histories back in 2016, the first EP ever to appear on the label was 'Path Integral I', a three tracker with providence in two different ways: Firstly, it was forseeable that a second part would follow at some point in the label's history and secondly because the first edition of 'Path Integral' already foreshadowed the musical direction the label would take – namely Frankey & Sandrino focusing on established, aspiring artists or their projects and release artsy worthwhile mental and delimiting electronic music with no expiration date. Almost two years and four releases later, the second installment of 'Path Integral' paves the way for six new gems, ready to be discovered, ready to be played out, ready to hit the zeitgeist and ready to give a set an ambitious and advanced whiff without sounding pretentious.

The B3 of the EP, 'Through the Door', is from Kris Davis' creative well. Warm synth-chords characterize the track's basic idea but undergo an intentional sound-treatment that stretches the last notes and adds some harmonic disharmony to it or in other words, edginess over happiness creating artsy moments in dance, on the floor.

Sum Over Histories' 'Path Integral II' EP will be released on June 14th, 2019.
