When exercise in mixing bass changes into track ;) It's a kind of medieval/celtic triphop track. I've again returned to Irish Harp. Now there are 3 of them ;)

Imagine.... A medieval castle town stretching around the defensive walls. The girl around 18, with long hair getting out from home. She grabs basket and a shawl and runs outside. It's an early morning, the light is cold and it is a bit misty... she goes down the street close to the wall, she has the tight dress with more open bottom. She begin to dance... This is modern dance. Something between classical and jazz with modern additions of head and hands movement. When she dance more and more girls join her dance with simultaneous movements...

It's an anachronism like in "The Knight's Tale" dance scene:

Dance of Lonely Maidens

lullaby(e) for
Flute (picc. Bass), Clarinet (Bb, Bb Bass), Percussion, Piano, Accordion, Violin, Violoncello, Double Bass and electronics

As the title suggests, this work serves as the final lullaby one hears. The catastrophic aftermath of the recent earthquake in Turkey has profoundly affected even those who were not directly impacted by the disaster. This composition is the product of the thoughts that have occupied my mind since that fateful day.
The tape segment of the piece involves the manipulation of a recorded excerpt from the Turkish lullaby "Dandini Dandini Dasdana."

One day I had been messing with „that scale” (also called a Tunisian/Satie/Gnosienne scale), came up with this and used the chords for another song. Then I've revisited this one, added some more chords, some sort of solo/melody and... got myself a song, also. Or something like that.

Dilay Doğanay was born in Izmir, Turkey, in 1999.
Her music evolves in an effort to understand the theatricality of sound and implicit and explicit communication. Her pieces, which she created inspired by language, literature, oral and written communication, sometimes include texts she wrote. She has won, 2024 Ö1 Kompositions Preis.
She studied composition in İzmir. Recently finished her Master’s Degree in Kunst Universitat Graz with Franck Bedrossian. Now based in Paris and studying at CNSMDP. Her music has been performed by different ensembles such as Ensemble Intercontemporain, RIOT, Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart, Schallfeld Ensemble, IEMA, hand werk, Orbis, Next Ensemble; in different parts of the world: Italy, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Ukraine, Netherlands, Switzerland, Colombia, France (...)
