While the concept of feeling more secure, stable, and ultimately yourself when supported by others is by no means limited to one type of relationship, I chose to zero External in on this idea as it occurs within the realm of romantic entanglements. The prospect of achieving a wholesome and stable state of mind that is so reliant upon external factors will almost inevitably lead to a strained and unhealthy relationship. It was this dichotomy and drama that I sought to expose with External.
