This episode of Global Vibe Radio features techno DJ and producer Dustin Zahn, one of Midwest's most respected and liked artists... and that's saying a lot given the great company he is in. 

Originally from the United States but now based in Berlin, Zahn delivers a euphoric and hypnotic hour of dark and mystical elements. 

The story behind Dustin Zahn is not a particularly unique or exciting one. There are no breakthrough moments or mentors who have taken him under their wing. But since 1998, his work has put his career on a slow and steady ascent. Along the way, Dustin has gained over 10 years of experience and unrivaled musical diversity as both a producer and a performer. This alone has earned him respect among techno and house legends, purists, and contemporary DJs. 

He now performs regularly around the world at some of the most reputable clubs and festivals along with some dodgy, sleazy warehouses and beach parties in-between. His DJ sets are much like his releases. “I like it dark enough for the boys, but groovy enough for the girls.” With a preference for marathon sets and his laid-back approach to life and music, he seamlessly traverses through various genres which creates a unique, hypnotic vibe that isn’t found among most DJs. As a producer, his releases on labels such as Drumcode, Rekids, and CLR have brought him international success. 

While Dustin’s original productions are something of the rare and special sort, it’s his remixes that have helped catapult him into the collections of DJs everywhere. As a remixer, he has done work for the likes of Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Green Velvet, Dubfire, Nic Fanciluli, Mark Broom, Joel Mull, and many other high profile acts. Despite his busy release schedule, he still finds time to own and operate Enemy Records. Founded in 2004, Enemy focuses on the same late-night hypnotic techno that you’ll often find in his DJ sets.

Production-wise, in the last few years, Endlec (aka Tasos Andriotis) has released records on prolific labels such as Mord, Hex, Clergy, Children Of Tomorrow, Gen X, Analogue, Eternal Damnation, New Trax Imports, and his own imprint, Renegade Methodz, establishing and solidifying his name in the global techno scene.
With a style that is characterized by gritty, mind-bending sounds, solid kicks, and a classy, innovative sonic palette, Endlec has gained the respect of his peers with his integrity, relentless output and by being totally true to his ways.

As a DJ, Endlec is regularly touring abroad, presenting his perception of techno music which is always uncompromising, forward-thinking, and technically impeccable.

Masst est une DJ et productrice techno. Ayant grandi entre la France et l'Allemagne, elle en tire un univers techno fondamentalement sombre et vibrant. Mathilde aime les musiques qui racontent une histoire, les mélodies hypnotisantes, les kicks gras et les grooves coquins qui collent des frissons. La musique est une énergie unique qui la transporte, la connecte à elle-même, aux autres, et sa démarche est désormais de la transmettre comme une façon d’émouvoir et d'agiter le corps et l’esprit.

Son style oscille entre mental, groove et indus, des selectas à chaque fois très organiques et vibrantes. Masst a été bercée par Jeff Mills, et plus récemment, elle est plus particulièrement inspirée par des artistes comme Chlär, VEL, Ferdinger, KUSS, Mac Declos, Anetha ou Yan Cook, qui dessinent une nouvelle techno. Masst s’inspire aussi en allant taper du pied en soirée, en passant des heures sur Soundcloud ou Bandcamp à guetter les nouveautés, et naturellement en suivant les projets de ses artistes et labels préférés. Elle aime aussi découvrir des artistes émergents, pouvoir nouer des liens avec eux pour se soutenir sur la scène. Enfin côté production, elle a la chance de bientôt rejoindre le label Sktyptöm d’Electric Rescue afin de pouvoir présenter plus avant son univers.

He draws inspiration from the local scene but also largely from his experiences of the Amsterdam and Berlin communities which have helped shape his sound over the years.
