Javon SHRIM Payne was born and raised in Brooklyn ny. He was raised in a house full of creatives, dancers, illustrators and musicians. He dabbled in them all but has always been drawn the most to music. 

His music transports you to the 90’s. His sound is like 90s hip hop and pop, which was filled with Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, Dr. Dre and The Neptune’s produced tracks. In his music you can hear those influences from his Timbaland style percussions, catchy Jermaine Dupri melodies, Dr. Dre feel basses and Neptune synths.

After working as a sound engineer for over 10 years in music industry famed studios such as the FILM CENTER in Times Square SHRIM is embarking on a new path in music.

SHRIM is currently working on multiple instrumental projects in which the first will be released February 2021 and similar annual projects will follow. SHRIM is also working with multiple distribution companies with clientele in film and television. You can also find new music from SHRIM every Friday posted on SOUNDCLOUD.COM .
