After a five-year hiatus, Hospital Records is extremely proud to present the return of their beloved mixtape series, curated by rising star and top-tier selector, Lens. With previous editions compiled by S.P.Y, Fred V & Grafix and Etherwood, and with a nod back to the iconic artist-led Hospital Mix series put together by London Elektricity, Logistics, Danny Byrd, Nu:Tone and Cyantific, Lens is swiftly on her way to joining the ranks of D&B royalty. Get locked and loaded for a sub-thumping, 17-track selection of new and exclusive cuts from Camo & Krooked, Fade Black, Watch The Ride & Emz, Logistics, Subwave, TC, Whiney, Winslow, Lally & Lens plus heaps more.

The ‘Lens Mixtape’ will be available on limited edition cassette tapes as well as on all major streaming platforms, which will include a continuous DJ mix of compilation cuts together with some fresh Hospital Records heat.

Dance music kingpins Watch The Ride consisting of DJ Randall, DJ Die and Dismantle supply a crisp cut bouncer of an instrumental straight out the gate for Bristol based mic controller Emz to shell down. Legendary doesn’t quite cut it - this one will be rolling through raves left, right and centre.

Lens’ debut release ‘Love The Way’ is an exciting jungle fused collaboration with rising producer Lally whose already dropped impressive releases with the likes of Hospital, Soulvent and Archway. Expect soul-infused samples, raw breakbeats and a shredding bassline.

Other compilation highlights include the widely anticipated Fade Black remix of Camo & Krooked’s anthem ‘Loa’, alongside a brand new bubbler from Whiney & Slay, a fresh feel-good dancefloor destroyer from Logistics, as well as cold killer cuts from SL8R, Joja, Euphonique & Redders, Nectax & Parly B, and lots more…

I was inspired from hearing the bass line in the song "magic medicine" by incubus. i think i got pretty close to the notes being played. Beyond that, i had a lot of fun chopping and rearranging the drum breaks. Kind of a one off type of song but i liked it and hope you do to!

For the 2nd set of the night we had Doc Scott taking it back to the 90's in front of a sold out crowd, this is the 2nd of the 3 recordings that we are uploading from this memorable mid-summer event. It was a special night in June of this year with 800+ people crammed into Xoyo's upstairs room (from pretty much before the very first needle was placed on the record until going past the nights extended close). Again a big thanks to Benji B for inviting us down to take over the room.
