I find it fascinating that we live in an era where more people have access to more information then ever yet we still live by the truth of a pod caster that's a good sales person and switch off the questions that challenge that version of reality completely. It's comparable to trash AI systems... bad data in we get a trash system...
Same goes for human beings it seems

Most sensationalist podcasters are preaching to the converted and they know and profit from the fact that their audience does not care to think critically and ask questions challenging whatever reality they are offered by them. It's a cult of personality and the influencer knows they have trust from their following as they feed off the want for people to have conspiratorial answers. Psychologically this seems to point at serious weaknesses in the characters of the people that get taken in by this but if the Socratic method of questioning was actually put to most of these sensationalist theories, they would likely fall asunder pretty fast. These influencers are in a bubble and know they can't be questioned however we can apply the questions and remove ourselves from the mind control that these people thoughtlessly try to impose on us. If we do that and remove the absolute trust in what we are being told we have a better chance at finding the qualified minds that might actually teach us constructive ideas about this world and about our place in it 🌍
