'Kalopsia EP', a sensationally refreshing release by David Granha, is the latest addition to the Renaissance discography! David's reputation in the electronic music scene precedes him with a discography spanning the likes of Arts, Tronic, Filth On Acid, Sincopat, Siona, and, most recently, as part of Adriatique's prestigious 'Siamese Anthology VI'; the perfect lead to his first full EP with Renaissance. Things open with the emotive breaks of title track "Kalopsia." Characterized by deep melodies, elongated basslines, and break-style drums, It stands out for its use of ethnic vocals and sounds reminiscent of 1990s rave music. Maori's interpretation of 'No More' shows us why his recent collaboration with Adam Ten on Diplo's Higher Ground held the Beatport Indie Dance top spot for over a month. Also following his own 'Pillow Fight EP' on Renaissance' sister label BAU_HAUS earlier in the year, it's a very welcome return for an artist in fast-track ascendance. The original version of 'No More', takes us to ethereal, melodic house heaven, whilst 'Where', fittingly closes things out as a contender for the most euphoric dancefloor moment of the year.

Omer Bar & Gal Kinnel team up to release the 'Shade Of Me EP' on BAU_HAUS. Having collaborated last year with 'Voyage', and having previously released on labels like Frau Blau, The Gardens of Babylon, Striped Down and Selador it's clear that their studio chemistry is a recipe that both works and endures. 

This latest EP finds Omer (who’s fast becoming a Renaissance favourite) and Gal in imperious techno form as they ramp-up their studio amps to 11 with 3 cuts that all demand a peak-time spotlight. Whilst the trademark vibe of fun and funk remains, with stalwarts such as cowbell; timbales; bonkers chants and baselines so filthy they’re incapabable of scrubbing themselves clean, all present and correct, there’s an undeniable injection of energy running throughout. Powerful, attention-grabbing stuff, ignore it at your peril!

"Fast-rising, Italian duo, Ebmath deliver Renaissance' next release - ‘Faces’ that boasts remixes from Radeckt and Fec. 

The pair have previously shared the stage with artists such as Tale of Us, Agents of Time, Colyn and many more, performing at events and festivals all around the world, including the mighty Zamna, which the pair have released on as well. 

'Faces’ is a beautiful track centred around an inspiring, Pink Floyd-esque vocal, as they explain, “We had Floyd’s ‘Echoes’ in mind when we were in the studio. We wanted to capture its vibe, albeit in our own, melodic techno accent." 

For the remixes the pair worked alongside Renaissance and their established label family to bring depth and scope: Radeckt, fresh from his ‘Soul Train’ smash, shifts gears toward a more indie-inspired lane, complete with his customary wobble and edge; whilst Fec continues where his recent ‘Midnight Medicine’ left off with a creative electronica version. Renaissance welcomes Notre Dame back to the label having previously remixed Mr Morek‘s 'Massive Landing'. Brimming with youthful energy and creativity, the Parisian producer and DJ has also released on Three Six Zero, Stil Vor Talent and Diynamic, not least his breakout ‘Yumi’ on the latter, so Renaissance is very excited to get him back onboard. His other accolades include Pete Tong's ‘Essential New Tune’ and touring all over the world, playing at a variety of influential clubs and festivals that includes Cercle Festival, Zamna, Space Miami, Womb Tokyo, KOKO London and more… 'Geisha' grew out of a deep fascination with Japanese culture, in particular the artisans from which it takes its name and the country’s renowned landscapes; it’s a perfect musical snapshot of the orient, which also features an ‘Intro Mix’, that’ll no doubt secure a place at the start of many a set.
