#98 calls for a special appearance by my dear friend, and very talented dj/ creator @voxsupreme. Lounes and I met on the beach at waking life festival in 2019 and have been friends ever since, now having done two ambient b2bs, at ADE in Amsterdam in 2019, and then coming full circle, we met at waking life 2022 for our second b2b. 

I consider him a master of all things ambient and electronica.. constanty impressed by the music he shares and plays. Clearly though, his dj'ing doesn't stop at ambient, with a crazy diversity of styles .. from dubstep and dnb to electro, breaks, techno and everything in between. 

Lounes is the man behind the ethereal dreamworld that is @traumgarten - a special collective focused on downtempo/experimental music and events. I'm always so impressed by the love, thought and creativity that goes into his events, alongside his partner Marinka who often contributes too.

Influences: 
As far as dance music, early progressive and psy through to newer proggy clubbier stuff, a lot of which is coming out of Melbourne! More broadly, I grew up on a lot of psych rock from the 60s & 70s, and I can feel that influencing my taste in dance music as I gravitate towards driving, whimsical, trancey sounds.  

Affiliations/Residencies/Projects: 
I'm currently recording the first EP for my new psych rock project Milou Moon (@milou_music) set to release September 2023. Stay tuned! I also DJ at parties around Melbourne sometimes- this mix is actually based on a set I played recently at around 2am at a park party.

Don't wait to be inspired, work to be inspired. Can't track down who said this but I repeat it to myself a lot!

With a range of releases on the likes of Pacific Rhythm, 1080p and Magicwire, his musical tendencies often shift dramatically with every release and the latest; debut album ‘Gamma Infolded’ is no exception: embracing the moodier and more introspective, with lashings of IDM and ambient tones.

His DJ sets meanwhile are renowned for exploring the deep depths of his library, often merging elements from rare groove, digi-dub and new wave with stomping house and techno. For us, he demonstrates this variety: jumping across diverse genres with ease in an hour-long voyage.
