It comes with supreme pleasure to restart the mix series after a long break with one of our homeboys; koen.fm, which feels maybe more like a soundtrack perfectly orchestrated than rather just a mix. 

"For this mix I tried to look for records that didn’t really have a specific genre but do have that eerie space feeling to it which you can sometimes find on 90s electronic albums, trance or drum and bass b-sides. I combined these with some of my other personal favourite downtempo records to create a slower kind of sci-fi listening experience."

Having got her start DJing in the 1990s, Vera moved to Berlin where she has become a fixture at Hoppetosse and CDV, clubs which are also home to @MelliflowRecords — the event series and label she founded in 2016 with fellow DJ Alexandra. Vera is a master of the expressive, journey like DJ set, and in this conversation, we discuss how emotional connection between the DJ and the event, the crowd, and the music can feed the soul.
