Perth producer @guycontact churns out tunes like nobody's business, and it turns out that his mixes are just as spectacular as his productions - who woulda guessed, eh? With a particular feeling for technical drum tools, it is in 2016 that things start with the creation of his mysterious label: Cartridge Material (RIP 15/22). The advent of a special project, only distributed on K7 in physical format, limited to very few copies, whose content contains tracks of rare qualities.

once upon a time in november 2024, spooky season’s favorite mascots landed at hoppetosse to celebrate their annual marathon wizardry. i had the pleasure of joining and contributing by spinning my favorite records - each carefully selected to capture the feeling of someone breaking into your house lol. hearing a few screams here n there that were recorded through the needles still gets me goosebumps every time (how does that work actually??). anyways - the spook was on!!

This week's mix is from Bennet. With a unique selection through the spectrum of house he carefully approaches his sets with a deep sensitivity and groove-driven peaks. 

Bennet lets the amazing records breathe and create their own highlights. A spring morning where the windows hug the rising sun and the smoke creates suprising patterns.

Track Highlight
One track that stands out for me is ‘Inda’ by Comodo, an alias of Marco Carola. It’s a driving house tool that brings a celestial note to the dancefloor, but over and over subtly explodes in with its driving baseline and always transforms it into a naughty affair.
