When Eats Everything asked me to make him a mix for his Quarantime series it coincided with the weekend that would have been my annual trip to New York City. Every year I play for my house music allies, The Carry Nation who run the the hottest party in NYC. My pilgrimage always orbits around Soul Summit sound system in Fort Green Park, Brooklyn….the home of real house music. It breaks my heart to miss both these essential cultural institutions in the city that gave birth to the sound I have devoted my life to. So to counteract this endless holding pattern of doom we call 2020, I am very happy to present my Quarantime mix, made in honour of the city I love the most.
